Engineering Teaching Center, 204 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 2-27-03 between 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Theft: A key was stolen from a key ring that was left unsecured in a 5th floor room. Loss value: $5.00.

Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 21st Street

Occurred between 2-28-03 at 4:00 p.m. and 3-3-03 at 12 noon.

Criminal Mischief: The front tire of a Trek model 830 was bent while it was secured to a bicycle rack on the north side of the dormitory. Repair cost: $50.00.

Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 21st Street

Occurred between 2-28-03 at 5:00 p.m. and 3-3-03 at 9:00 a.m.

Theft: Two 12 inch by 14 inch brown plastic signs were stolen from the 3rd floor. One of the signs was stolen from the east stairwell wall. The other sign was stolen from the west stairwell wall. Loss value: $75.00.

Parking Lot 109, 2200 Leona Street

Occurred on 3-3-03 between 8:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger side window was broken out of a white 1991 Mercury Cougar. A Sony portable CD player, a blue six string Fender guitar and two JBL computer speakers were stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $300.00. Loss value: $190.00.

Parking Lot 110, 2200 Comal Street

Occurred on 3-3-03 between 8:50 p.m. and 9:50 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right passenger window was broken out of a white Dodge Avenger. A Dell Lattitude laptop computer, a JVC model KD-5570 CD/AM/FM radio and 100 compact discs were stolen out of the vehicle. Repair cost: $300.00. Loss value: $1,200.00.

Parking Lot 113, 2200 Comal Street

Occurred on 3-3-03 between 8:50 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle / Criminal Mischief: The back right passenger window was broken out of a green 1994 Toyota Corolla. A pair of Pioneer 6 inch by 9 inch 160 watt 2-way dash mounted speakers was stolen from the vehicle. A Kenwood CD/AM/FM radio was damaged beyond repair. Three other vehicles parked in the lot had broken windows. At this time it is unknown if any property is missing from the other vehicles. The other vehicles were described as a black 1995 Acura, a gray 1988 GMC and a silver 1997 Dodge. Repair cost: $300.00. Loss value: $150.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 2-25-03 at 5:00 p.m.

Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia: A key ring containing an object used to "pack" marijuana into a pipe was turned into lost and found. The packing device had marijuana residue on it. The key ring belonged to a UT student.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred between 3-2-03 at 5:00 p.m. and 3-3-03 at 10:00 p.m.

Harassing Communications: A UT student received a telephone call on both her cellular telephone and on her dormitory telephone from the same subject who identified himself by first name only. The caller told the student he obtained her cellular telephone and dormitory telephone numbers from a "list of numbers." The caller wanted the student to meet him in the "business school" about an internship. The company the subject claimed to be working for was not recruiting on campus at that time. The student was annoyed by the telephone calls. The student was reminded of the "star 57" feature on her dormitory telephone to trace telephone calls.

George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway

Discovered on 3-4-03 at 2:03 a.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write words and draw a picture on the west stairwell exterior door. Removal cost: $50.00.

300 East 25th Street

Occurred on 2-24-03 at 3:15 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A white Toyota 4Runner struck the left front side of a blue Pontiac Grand AM. The driver of the striking vehicle left the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost: $500.00.
