Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street

Discovered on 3-21-03.

Graffiti: Gang-type symbols and letters were scratched in the glass of the east side doors. Repair cost: $300.00.

Engineering Teaching Center, 204 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 3-23-03 between 1:50 p.m. and 3:50 p.m.

Theft: A brown leather wallet containing $30.00 cash and a black leather Tommy Hilfiger wallet containing $50.00 cash were stolen from an unsecured fifth floor office. The owners were attending a seminar at another location and had left the office door open. During the time of the theft two possible suspects were seen in the area. The first suspect was seen pacing back and forth in front of the office. He was described as an Asian male, 5'5", 130 lbs, 22-25 years of age with short black hair. Subject was last seen wearing a white button down shirt and black pants. The second subject was a white female who talked to two staff members in an office near the victim's office. She stated that she was doing a survey about which research assistants occupy the offices on the fifth floor. She was considered suspicious due to the type of questions she asked and the fact that she did not write down any of the information that was given to her. She was further described as approximately 5'5", 160 pounds with shoulder length blond hair and was between 28 to 32 years of age. Subject was last seen wearing a "Texas" t-shirt. Loss value: $130.00.

Ernest Cockrell Jr. Hall, 301 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 3-21-03 at 9:26 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in an area on the second floor that is reserved for student, faculty and staff. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 3-22-03 at 1:00 p.m.

Assault: During a "pick-up" basketball game an unknown subject used his fist to strike a UT student in the mouth resulting in a lacerated lip and the loss of two teeth. The unknown subject is described as a black male, late 30's, 6'4", 175 pounds, with close-cropped black hair and brown eyes. Subject goes by the nickname of Paco and had a guest pass issued to him in the name of P. J. Wright.

Beauford H. Jester Center, 2003 Speedway

Occurred on 3-22-03 at 8:46 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found asleep in the ground floor hallway when the building was not open to the public. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st

Occurred on 3-23-03.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor / Assault / Criminal Mischief / Criminal Trespass: At approximately 1:00 am a female resident provided unauthorized access into the dormitory for a male acquaintance through a stairwell exit door. Subjects proceeded to the resident's room on the 10th floor. Starting at 1:00 am other residents could hear these subjects arguing inside the resident's room. At approximately 3:45 am the argument escalated to screaming and yelling with profanity being used. At approximately 4:30 am police were summoned. When officers arrived, screaming and yelling could be heard along with the sounds of a physical struggle going on. A male non-UT subject and the resident under the age of 21 were found inside the room along with the resident's roommate who was attempting to sleep. It was determined the male subject had been drinking alcoholic beverages earlier in the evening, had punched a wall in the room resulting in injury to his hand, had torn a cabinet door off its hinges in the room, had shattered a Bacardi liquor bottle on a windowsill and had used the bottle's neck to repeatedly cut himself on the chest and arms. During a struggle with the resident, the subject had caused a slight cut the resident's forearm and a finger. Subject was given a written criminal trespass warning.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 3-22-03 at 7:05 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor / Public Intoxication: A UT student under the age of 21 was found in the fourth floor lobby in his underwear. Subject stated that he was trying to find his room, which turned out to be on the fourth floor of Beauford H. Jester Center West. Subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was an endangerment to himself.

Lake Austin Center, 3001 Lake Austin Blvd.

Occurred between 3-18-03 and 3-19-03 at 8:00 a.m.

Graffiti: Words and symbols were scratched into a wooden bench that was located at the north entrance to the building. Repair cost: $200.00.

2406 Rosewood

Occurred on 3-21-03 between 10-30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Theft: A black 8" x 8" Liz Clairborne wallet was stolen from a purse that was left in the bottom drawer of a desk that was located in an unsecured fourth floor office. The wallet contained assorted identification cards and credit cards. Loss value: $10.00.

Occurred on 3-22-03 between 7:45 a.m. and 1:20 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A parked and unattended black 2001 Nissan Xterra was struck in the left rear quarter panel by an unknown vehicle that left the scene without giving notice. The Nissan's bumper was knocked off and the taillight from a 2002 Dodge was found at the scene. Repair cost: $1000.00.

2300 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 3-21-03 between 7:30 p.m. and 10:55 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A parked and unattended grey 1993 Toyota pickup truck was struck in the left rear quarter panel by an unknown vehicle that left the scene without giving notice. The striking vehicle transferred white paint onto the Toyota. Repair cost: $700.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Discovered on 3-21-03 at 8:30 a.m.

Burglary of Coin-Operated Machine: The sanitary napkin dispenser in a third floor women's restroom had been pried open and all the money had been removed from the coin box. Exact loss value is unknown at this time. Repair cost: $30.00.
