Centennial Park, 1620 Red River Street

Occurred on 3-28-03 at 8:45 a.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 counts): Two non-UT subjects were found camping in an area that is closed to the public. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall

Occurred on 3-28-03 at 4:15 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a ground floor room that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street

Occurred on 3-29-03 between 2:00 a.m. and 5:45 a.m.

Criminal Mischief / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor / Public Intoxication: A UT student, who is under the age of 21, was found lying on the floor of his 4th floor dormitory room "covered in blood." The student ran from the room when he was awakened by his roommate. The student was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. The student was stopped in the lobby of Jester East and transported to the hospital by EMS for a cut to a finger on his right hand. A piece of broken glass from a fourth floor fire hose storage compartment was found in the student's room. Repair Cost: $150.00.

Manor Garage, 2017 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred between 3-24-03 at 9:00 a.m. and 3-29-03 at 3:00 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: The left rear quarter panel of a black 1996 Honda Civic was struck. The striking vehicle left the scene without leaving notice. A witness left a note describing the striking vehicle as a beige 1996 Chevrolet pick-up truck, Texas license plate TR9-696. Repair cost: $2,500.00.

Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 24th Street

Occurred on 3-28-03 at 7:20 p.m.

Possession of Controlled Substance / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Four UT students were found in a second floor dormitory room. None of the students reside in the dormitory room. A plastic bag containing one eighth of an ounce of marijuana was found on the floor. One of the students was in possession of a 4-inch multi-colored glass pipe containing marijuana residue. Two fixed blade knives were also found in the dormitory room in violation of Housing and Food regulations.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred on 3-29-03 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Theft: A brown tri-fold wallet containing $30.00 cash, two credit cards, and a social security card was stolen out of a backpack in an unsecured 2nd floor computer lab. The owner left the backpack in the computer lab while he visited a friend in Jester Center. Loss value: $35.00.

Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Occurred on 3-28-03 between 7:00 p.m. and 7:35 p.m.

Theft: A light brown backpack containing a gray Casio graphic calculator, a gray Sharp electronic dictionary, a brown plastic digital recorder, a blue CXS remote control, a South Korean passport and various school supplies was stolen from a first floor study area while the owner used a computer in the northwest corner of the room. A witness described the suspect as a Hispanic male approximately 28 to 35 years of age, 6'2" tall, 150 lbs, with short hair and some facial hair. The suspect was wearing a navy blue shirt, blue jeans and dark sandals. Loss value: $370.00.

2300 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 3-28-03 at 11:35 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: Two occupants of a 1990's style dark gray Pontiac Grand Am threw 3 to 4 eggs at a UT student who was standing by her parked vehicle. One egg hit the student in the back of her skirt and another egg hit the left front side of her vehicle. The suspect vehicle drove south bound at a "high rate of speed" with its lights turned off. Repair cost: $25.00.

2200 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between 3-28-03 at 10:00 p.m. and 3-30-03 at 2:30 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: The right side mirror housing of a parked brown 1994 Toyota Camry was broken and found hanging from the car door by wires. The mirror was not damaged. Repair cost: $150.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 3-29-03 at 5:30 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor / Public Intoxication: A UT student, who is under the age of 21, was found "passed out" in a third floor north tower hallway. The student was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he had to be examined by EMS for alcohol poisoning.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred between 3-12-03 at 4:19 p.m. and 3-16-03.

Theft: A box containing a pair of black Simon pants, a pair of blue Simon pants, a black Nelly sweater, a black MOA hat, a 2-way zip camel colored cardigan sweater, a light blue athletic jacket and a camel colored military jacket was stolen from the first floor mail room. Loss value: $119.00.

South Mall, 200 East 21st Street

Occurred on 3-28-03 at 10:50 a.m.

Criminal Trespass (3 counts): Three non-UT subjects were found handing out movie passes in violation of Regent's Rules regarding soliciting. All three subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred between 3-29-03 at 12 noon and 3-30-03 at 2:45 a.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker and a blue pen were used to write several words on the walls of a second floor restroom. Removal Cost: $50.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred 3-30-03 between 6:00 p.m. and 6:40 p.m.

Graffiti: A gold paint pen and a black marker were used to write illegible words on the walls and a paper dispenser of a second floor restroom. Removal cost: $50.00.

201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 3-30-03 at 7:50 a.m.

Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who is under the age of 21, was found "passed out" in the driver's seat of his parked vehicle. The student was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.
