Blanton Dormitory, 2500 University

Discovered on 4-10-03 at 12:11 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: White, pink and yellow chalk was used to write several statements and draw several pictures on the sidewalk and service drive within the dormitory's quadrangle. Removal cost: $10.00.

Graduate School of Business, 100 East 21st Street

Occurred between 4-4-03 at 4:30 p.m. and 4-7-03 at 7:40 a.m.

Theft: One of three Dell 3100mp computer projectors was stolen from a 5th floor special events room. The room was being set up for a function that was to occur four days later. The room was supposed to have been locked but during the time the theft could have occurred the room as found unlocked on at least one occasion and an unknown UT student was seen in the room. Loss value: $2,500.00.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 4-7-03 at 1:11 p.m.

Assault: During a basketball game on Court #3 a UT student and an unknown Hispanic male (no other description) were in the act of going for a rebound when both became involved in illegal conduct (as defined by the rules of basketball.) This resulted in a second unknown Hispanic male (no other description) shoving the UT student to the floor and swinging at him with his fist but missed.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building. C, 2504C Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 4-7-03 at 11:03 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found taking a shower in a 1st floor men's restroom. Subject was found to have received a prior written criminal trespass warning.

2000 Jester Circle

Occurred on 3-31-03 between 7:45 a.m. and 5:10 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A UT "A" parking permit and a small wooden produce crate containing approximately 30 CDs were stolen from a brown 1987 Volvo that was parked along the south curbline. The car had been electronically locked but the right rear window was found open. Loss value: $200.00.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred on 4-7-03 at 4:00 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were found selling musical CD's on the west steps in violation of Regent Rules and Regulations regarding soliciting on university property. Subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Discovered on 4-9-03 at 12:30 p.m.

Graffiti (Criminal Episode): Pink, blue and black felt markers were used to write similar words and phrases on different objects at three locations outside the building. The first set of markings was on a post on the northeast side of the building. The second was on a trash receptacle on the southeast side and the third was on trash receptacle on the southwest side of the building. Removal cost: $200.00.

Manor Garage, 2017 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 4-7-03 at 3:10 p.m.

Theft: A green 2000 Ford Excursion was videotaped following another vehicle out of the west exit of the parking garage without paying. UT police stopped the vehicle and the driver was identified as a UT student. Loss value with penalties: $32.00.

Manor Garage, 2017 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 4-9-03 at 3:20 p.m.

Theft: A 2000 Pontiac was videotaped following another vehicle out of the southwest exit of the parking garage without paying. The vehicle's license plate returned to a UT student who has a history of exiting the parking garage without paying. Loss value with penalties: $32.00.

Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium, 707 Clyde Littlefield

Occurred on 4-3-03 between 1:00 p.m. and 1:20 p.m.

Theft: A Motorola T720 flip top cellular telephone was stolen when it was left on a bench during the UIL Texas Relays. Loss value: $150.00.

Robert A. Welch Hall, 105 East 24th Street

Occurred on 4-8-03 at 7:00 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found to be disturbing a public meeting in a second floor lecture hall. Subject was disruptive by yelling at the event's speaker numerous times and threatened to commit bodily harm to several audience members when they asked him to be quiet. Subject was found under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio

Occurred on 4-9-03 at 7:25 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in the bushes on the northeast side of the garage. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway

Occurred on 4-8-03 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

Theft: A black vinyl purse was stolen from a first floor classroom. The owner was attending a class and had laid the purse beside her desk. The purse contained $15.00 cash, a Nokia cellular telephone with charger, a "Palm M103" palm pilot, assorted credit cards and identification. Loss value: $250.00.

Sid Richardson Hall #3, 2300 Red River

Occurred between 4-4-03 and 4-7-03 at 8:40 a.m.

Theft: A ceiling mounted Mitsubishi LVP-X300U projector was stolen from an unsecured 1st floor classroom. Loss value: $3,500.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Discovered on 4-10-03 at 2:00 a.m.

Graffiti: A red felt marker was used to draw an "X" on the glass that covered a picture that was on a wall outside the Showroom that is located on the second floor. Removal cost: $2.00.

University Teaching Center, 105 West 21st Street

Occurred on 4-8-03 between 7:45 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Theft: A blue 21-speed Raleigh bicycle was stolen from the north side of the building while it was secured to a bicycle rack with a key-cable lock. A "101X" sticker was attached to the inside of the wheel frame. Loss value: $150.00.

W.R. Woolrich Laboratories, 210 East 24th Street

Occurred on 4-9-03 between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: An industrial grade staple gun was used to staple a music ad flyer to the Formica surface of a bench that was located on an east porch on the south side of the building. Repair cost: $100.00.
