Discovered on 4-10-03 at 11:23 a.m.

Graffiti: A brown felt marker was used to draw gang-style markings on the exterior surface of a door located on the north side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.

Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street

Discovered on 4-14-03 at 11:05 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: Orange chalk was used to write an 8-inch by 32-feet phrase along the south side of the building. Removal cost: $30.00.

McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway

Occurred on 4-12-03 at 7:30 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were found asleep on a couch in a 5th floor lounge. Subjects were issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Frank C. Erwin Jr. Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Occurred on 4-11-03 between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Theft (Criminal Episode): A black leather wallet with a red strawberry on the side was stolen from an unsecured west tunnel women's makeup room while the owner was involved in a Disney on Ice performance. The wallet contained $34.00 cash, assorted credit cards and identification. A second wallet had $20.00 stolen from it while that owner was involved in a Disney on Ice performance. Total loss value: $60.00.

Frank C. Erwin Jr. Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Occurred between 4-12-03 at 11:00 a.m. and 4-12-03 at 5:00 p.m.

Theft: A white gold men's ring that was square shaped on top with a 1/4 carat diamond and $16.00 cash were stolen from a bag that was left in an unsecured west tunnel men's makeup room while the owner was involved in a Disney on Ice performance. "A lot of people" were seen walking in the "off limits area" without proper badges or identification. Loss value: $216.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 4-12-03 at 10:20 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found panhandling in the courtyard. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

L. Theo Bellmont Hall, 2109 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 4-10-03 at 8:30 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a 3rd floor men's locker room that is reserved for staff, faculty and Recreational Sports members. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado

Occurred on 4-12-03 at 1:53 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT student was found on the southwest side of the building, under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was an endangerment to himself.

Parking Lot 70, 2000 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 4-10-02 at 10:45 a.m.

Assault: After a UT student parked in a space, a white 1998 Ford pickup truck pulled up behind his car and bumped his car with the pickup truck. The unknown driver got out of the pickup truck and started yelling at him, calling him obscene names. Both began to argue about who the parking space belonged to. When the student turned away the subject hit the student in the back of the head, forced him to the ground and struck him in the back of the head multiple times. Subject was described as a white male, 18-25 years of age, 5'5", and 150 pounds with short brown hair. License plate number was given to UT police for follow-up investigation.

Parking Lot 116, 26th and IH-35

Occurred on 4-11-03 at 10:15 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A white 2001 Nissan pickup truck was seen driving into the south side of the Parking Lot. An unknown subject got out of the truck and walked over to the driver's side of a parked Chevrolet pickup truck. An American flag was displayed on a plastic window mounted pole. The subject broke the plastic pole and threw the American flag on the ground. The subject got back into his vehicle and left the area. Subject was described as a white male, mid 40's, 5'10", stocky build with a mustache and black hair. License plate number of Nissan was turned over to UT police for follow-up investigation. Replacement value: $8.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 4-11-03 at 2:05 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: The rear window was broken out of a grey 1997 Toyota Camry that was parked in the loading dock. The owner heard a loud "pop noise" and spoke to four unknown "Eastern Indian" males who were in the area. They stated that there had been a group of "Asian" males standing near the loading dock that may have caused the damage. Repair cost: $250.00.

Sid Richardson Hall, Unit 1, 2300 Red River

Occurred on 4-10-03 at 9:00 p.m.

Attempted Theft: A non-UT subject walked up to the exterior doors of the 1st floor library at 8:45 pm and saw that the library closed at 6:00 pm based upon the hours posted on the door. Subject pulled on the door and found that it was unlocked. Subject entered the library and was confronted by UT police as he attempted to exit the library with a stack of University owned books.

South Mall

Discovered on 4-12-03 at 4:25 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: Purple chalk was used to write a phrase at the base of the "James Stephen Hogg" statue. Removal cost: $20.00.

Speedway at 21st Street

Occurred on 4-11-03 at 12:45 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A "middle eastern male", approximately 6' tall with long facial hair who may have been accompanied by an unknown female subject, was seen writing words and phrases on the sidewalk and in the crosswalks. Removal cost: $50.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 4-10-03 between 2:00 a.m. and 4:10 p.m.

Graffiti: A black felt marker was used to write a word on the wall of a 3rd floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $50.00.

Occurred on 4-10-03 at 4:20 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found asleep in a chair on the 3rd floor in an area that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. Subject initially claimed to be a UT student. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Occurred on 4-11-03 at 3:08 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found on the 3rd floor in an area that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 4-11-03 at 6:10 p.m.

Criminal Trespass / Assist an Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found on the 4th floor in an area that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for failure to appear on a traffic citation.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred between 4-11-03 at 5:00 p.m. and 4-12-03 at 2:00 p.m.

Graffiti: Several letters and numbers were scratched into the east side wall of stairwell #2's first floor landing. Repair cost: $200.00.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Discovered on 4-12-03 at 4:50 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: White chalk was used to draw symbols and write phrases on the east exterior wall. Removal cost: $20.00.
