Criminal Mischief: A non-UT subject was found on the 1st floor in an area that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street
Occurred on 4-16-03 at 5:30 p.m.
Breach of Computer Security: A UT student logged into their e-mail account on a computer located in a 2nd floor computer lab. Subject left the area without logging off. An unknown subject subsequently sent out a derogatory e-mail statement to everyone in the e-mail address book.
San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio
Discovered on 4-17-03 at 3:55 p.m.
Graffiti: White paint was used to write a gang-style marking on a 1st floor stairwell wall. Removal cost: $100.00.
2200 Speedway
Occurred on 4-17-03 at 11:39 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: Three UT students were found using chalk to write several statements in the pedestrian walkway. One statement was 11-feet wide and 22-feet long while another was 2-feet wide and 30-feet long.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred on 4-17-03 at 3:00 p.m.
Assist an Outside Agency / Criminal Trespass: UT police assisted Austin police in searching the building for a non-UT subject who was known to be in the building due to a telephone line trace that was conducted while the subject was making a telephone call from the building. Subject had an outstanding outside agency parole violation arrest warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Subject was located on the fourth floor talking on a telephone. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
