Brazos Garage, 210 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 4-18-03 between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: An 8-inch scratch was made near the door handle on the left rear door of a black 2002 Honda Accord while it was parked on the 6th level of the garage. Repair cost: $100.00.

Experimental Science Building, 100 East 24th Street

Discovered on 4-23-03 at 7:30 p.m.

Graffiti: A black felt marker was used to trace over words on a sign inside elevator #3. Removal cost: $50.00.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 4-23-03 at 7:20 p.m.

Assault: Two UT students were playing basketball when one of the students began to "check" the other student. The student who was being "checked" pushed off of the checker. The checker hit the checkee and both students began to push each other while "cussing." The checker threw several more punches while the checkee stated he did not want to fight. The checkee began to walk away while the checker kicked the checkee. The checkee received a small cut on his chin.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st

Occurred on 4-24-03 at 1:20 a.m.

False Alarm or Report: A fire suppression water sprinkler valve located in a stairwell on level 8 and another one located in a stairwell on level 10 were manually closed. There are signs posted by each water valve indicating the valves must be in the open position at all times. The closed water valves caused a fire alarm activation.

J. T. Patterson Laboratories Building, 2415 Speedway

Occurred on 4-22-03 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Theft: $150.00 cash was stolen from a wallet that was left in a backpack located in an unsecured 6th floor multi-purpose workroom. Loss value: $150.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred between 4-23-03 at 10:30 p.m. and 4-24-03 at 3:30 a.m.

Graffiti (Criminal Episode): A sharp instrument was used to etch lines into two wooden panels and a wooden door. The first wooden panel is located in stairwell #1 on the first level and had a "T" shape etched into it. The second wooden panel is located in a northeast hallway on the second level and had a "wavy" line approximately 14 and 1/2 inches long. A 1/8-inch hole was also located in the wood panel. A wooden door to a women's restroom located on the northeast side of the second floor had a 3-inch long by 1/8-inch wide scratch. Repair value: $350.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred between 4-23-03 at 3:00 a.m. and 4-24-03 at 1:15 a.m.

Graffiti: A sharp instrument was used to etch a pattern in the exterior limestone wall on the northwest side of the building. Repair cost: $300.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 4-23-03 between 3:00 a.m. and 10:55 p.m.

Graffiti: A black felt marker was used to write words on a second floor restroom door. Repair cost: $50.00.
