Graffiti: A pen and pencil were used to write initials and words on several walls in a first floor men's restroom. Removal Cost: $20.00.

Discovered on 4-25-03 at 11:30 p.m.
Graffiti: A black and silver felt marker was used to write gang-style graffiti on walls and fixtures inside a second floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $50.00.
Engineering Teaching Center, 204 East Dean Keeton
Discovered on 4-24-03 at 11:30 p.m.
Graffiti: A pen was used to write remarks on a wall in a 8th floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $60.00.
Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall
Discovered on 4-25-03 at 12:03 a.m.
Graffiti: A white paint pen and black felt marker were used to draw designs and write words on walls in a first floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $100.00.
Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway
Occurred on 4-24-03 at 10:15 p.m.
Attempted Theft: A backpack was left leaning against a goal post by the basketball courts. An unknown subject was later seen leaning against the goal post. The subject began to kick the backpack, gradually scooting it to the bleachers behind the goal post. The subject shielded the backpack with his leg to block anyone's view and then acted like "he was messing with his shoe." Subject then opened the backpack and at that time was confronted by a friend of the owner. Subject first claimed the backpack belonged to a friend of his. Subject then claimed his "cell phone" was stolen. The owner arrived and asked why he had opened the backpack? The subject didn't have an answer. When they tried to get the subject to stay and talk to Recreational Sport staff and the police, the subject walked out of the building. Subject was described as a black male, college age, 6'2", slim muscular build, short hair, wearing wire rim glasses. Subject's first name might be Anthony. Subject is a suspect in several other thefts that have occurred in the building.

Graffiti: White paint was used to write a word on a landscape timber located on the west side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.
Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building A, 2504A Whitis Avenue
Occurred between 4-22-03 at 9:00 p.m. and 4-24-03 at 9:00 p.m.
Theft: Two black and white pictures were stolen out of two plastic frames that were displayed in a 6th floor lobby. One picture was of Willie Nelson and the second picture was of Johnny Cash. Loss value: $110.00.
Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street
Discovered on 4-24-03 at 2:37 p.m.
Theft: Twelve links of chain that were three-feet long and a half-inch wide along with twelve padlocks were stolen from twelve hydraulic water valves on the second through fourteenth floors. Replacement cost: $640.00.
Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall
Occurred on 4-23-03 between 8:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Theft: A red and grey CD case containing 30 CD's was stolen from an unlocked drawer behind the 1st floor Circulation Desk. The drawer is used to store lost and found items. Loss value: $120.00.
Prather Hall Dormitory, 305 East 21st Street
Occurred between 4-23-03 at 5:00 p.m. and 4-24-03 at 8:00 a.m.
Graffiti: A red felt marker was used to write some words on a 4th floor hallway wall. Removal cost: $100.00.
200 East 21st Street
Occurred on 4-25-03 at 2:20 a.m.
Disorderly Conduct (Abusive Language) / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A University police officer was driving along 21st street when he heard someone yell an obscene remark that was directed at the officer. Three white males were seen in the area where the remark came from. When the officer turned his vehicle around two of the subjects fled the scene on foot. The third subject was identified as a UT student, under the age of 21 and under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.
