Experimental Science Building, 100 East 24th Street

Occurred on 5-28-03 between 12 noon and 1:00 p.m.

Theft: A brown snap closure Fossil wallet containing $20.00 cash and various bankcards and identification cards was stolen out of a purse that was left in an unsecured 4th floor equipment room. The bankcards were used at several local stores. A video surveillance camera in one of the stores showed an unidentified subject using one of the bankcards to purchase beer. The subject was a Hispanic male approximately 5'7" tall, "stocky build with very wide shoulders," in his late 20's or early 30's with short hair. Subject was wearing a gray t-shirt with a design on the front, red shorts and flip-flops. Property loss value: $30.00.

Goldsmith Hall, #5 West Mall

Occurred on 5-29-03 between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: The ignition switch on a red Kawasaki Mule 550 landscaping scooter was damaged when an unknown object was pushed into it while it was parked on the north side of the building. Repair cost: $300.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street

Occurred on 5-29-03 between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: Nine eight-ounce bottles of milk, nine eight-ounce bottles of orange juice and 11 "moon-pies" were stolen out of an unsecured white Chevrolet Krispy Creme delivery truck while it was parked in the loading dock. An unidentified subject described as a white male approximately 30 years old, 5'8" tall, medium build, wearing a white shirt, white pants and carrying a black back pack was seen "loitering" in the area when the delivery truck was parked. Loss value: $25.00.

Robert Lee Moore Hall, 2515 Speedway

Occurred on 5-29-03 between 3:00 p.m. and 3:10 p.m.

Theft: A black canvas book bag with a shoulder strap, containing a computer adapter cable, a battery for an Apple iBook laptop computer and a textbook titled "Quantum Theory of Fields, Vol. III" was stolen when it was left beside a desk in an unsecured 9th floor office for ten minutes while the owner was in an office across the hallway. Loss value: $215.00.

Townes Hall, 727 East Dean Keeton

Discovered on 5-29-03 at 9:30 a.m.

Theft: A Nakamichi "Soundspace 5", 3-CD / AM / FM stereo and two speakers were stolen from a 3rd floor office. The owner could not remember the last time he saw the stereo. Loss value: $400.00.

University Teaching Center, 105 West 21st Street

Discovered on 5-29-03 at 9:30 a.m.

Theft: A UT key was stolen from a key lockbox located in an unsecured 3rd-floor classroom. The key accesses several rooms in the building.
