Development Office Building, 2901 North IH-35

Occurred on 6-17-03 between 12:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Theft: A chrome BMX Dyno bicycle with a blue "Dyno" decal and chrome buddy pegs was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a bicycle rack on the south side of the building. Loss value: $50.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred between 6-10-03 at 11:00 a.m. and 6-15-03 at 9:00 a.m.

Theft: A folding chair storage rack containing 35 folding chairs with gray seats was stolen from an unsecured 1st floor room. Loss value: $660.00.

Geology Building, #10 East Mall

Occurred between 6-16-03 at 11:00 p.m. and 6-17-03 at 9:30 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: A sanitary napkin dispenser was damaged along with the wall it was bolted to when it was pulled from the wall in a second floor women's restroom. Repair cost: $50.00.

L. Theo Bellmont Hall, 2109 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between 4-12-00 and 6-4-03.

Harassment: An unidentified female caller has made several annoying telephone calls to a 2nd floor office telephone over the course of three years. The caller says, "wrong number," laughs then hangs-up.

Performing Arts Center, 510 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 6-17-03 between 4:40 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.

Theft / Criminal Trespass: A UT employee observed a non-UT subject exit a 3rd floor office. Five minutes later he observed the same subject exit a 2nd floor men's restroom. A wallet belonging to a female employee who worked in the 3rd floor office was found inside the restroom. A fivedollar bill was stolen from the wallet. After receiving a second call of a suspicious person five minutes later, the subject was stopped exiting the east side of Sid Richardson Hall UNIT 3, 2300 Red River. It could not be determined if the five dollar bill the subject was in possession of was the stolen money. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass citation and released. The subject was later seen driving away in a white 1991 GMC pickup truck that was later determined to be stolen out of Victoria, Texas. The non-UT subject was a black male, 50 years old, 6'6" tall, 200 pounds, short dreadlock hairstyle, wearing a lime green shirt, green and black stripped pants, green "animal print" shoes and a straw hat. Loss value: $5.00.

Occurred on 6-17-03 at 9:38 p.m.

Driving While Intoxicated / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor / Possession of Alcohol by a Minor / Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle: A UT student who is under the age of 21, was observed driving the wrong way on a one-way street. The subject was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated. Nine containers of alcohol were found in the vehicle.

Townes Hall, 727 East Dean Keeton

Occurred between 6-10-03 and 6-16-03.

Theft: A roll of 42 US postage stamps and a pair of fingernail cuticle scissors were stolen from an unsecured desk drawer in an unsecured 3rd floor office. Loss value: $31.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 6-17-03 at 5:45 p.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 counts) / Assist Outside Agency: Two non-UT subjects were found in a 3rd floor area that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warning citations. One of the subjects had an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for theft.
