Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Bldg. C, 2504-C Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 6-19-03 between 12 noon and 3:30 p.m.

Theft: A blue and gray handmade purse containing $150.00 cash, a silver Nokia Matrix cellular telephone, and a black leather Fossil wallet containing various identification and credit cards was stolen when it was left on a desk in an unsecured 4th floor office. Three charges (unknown amounts) were made on the credit cards before they could be canceled. Loss value: $165.00.

Parking Lot F-23, 1800 Red River

Occurred on 6-19-03 at 9:36 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT female subject parked in the lot after her vehicle began to overheat. A non-UT male subject began walking around the car while she was inside the vehicle. The driver called the police. The male subject could not provide police with a reasonable explanation of why he was in the Parking Lot walking around the disabled car. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 6-19-03 between 8:45 a.m. and 8:50 a.m.

Theft: A brown leather wallet containing $200.00 cash and various credit cards was stolen when it was left on a tabletop inside the Cypress Bend Cafe for approximately one minute. Loss value: $210.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 6-18-03 between 10:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown object was used to make indentions, similar to pry marks, in an emergency exit stairwell door on the 3rd floor which leads to the Underground. Repair cost: $100.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 6-19-03 at 7:25 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a 3rd floor area that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 6-19-03 between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Graffiti: An unknown object was used to scratch words in a 1st floor men's restroom paper dispenser, a wall in stairwell #2 on the 2nd floor and on a door to a second floor men's restroom. Repair cost: $195.00.

300 West 21st Street

Occurred on 6-19-03 at 3:38 p.m.

Interference with an Emergency Telephone Call / Assault with Injuries (Family Violence): UT police observed a non-UT male and female standing on the corner "arguing loudly." The male subject threw a cellular telephone to the ground. It was later determined that the male subject had just taken the telephone away from his common law wife, who was attempting to call 9-1-1 because he had hit her several times with a closed fist on the left and right side of her face, which caused injuries.
