Graffiti: White paint was used to write words on two light poles located on the north and northeast sides of the Penick-Allison Tennis Center, 1701 Trinity. Removal cost: $50.00.

Harry Ransom Center, 300 West 21st Street

Occurred on 6-19-03 between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Theft: A black Norm Thompson backpack was taken from a storage cubby located in the 4th floor lobby. The backpack was later found inside a 1st floor men's restroom. Two Hershey candy bars were stolen from the backpack. Loss value: $1.50.

200 East Jester Circle Drive

Occurred on 6-20-03 at 3:40 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A dark colored Dodge Dakota pickup truck, driven by a white male, backed into the left front quarter panel of a parked 2002 Lexus. The vehicle left the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost: $3,000.00.

L. Theo Bellmont Hall, 2109 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 6-21-03 at 5:16 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a 3rd floor room that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado

Occurred on 6-22-03 at 1:03 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was observed on the west steps displaying an extreme involuntary physical reaction to the consumption of an excessive amount of alcohol. The subject was under the influence of the alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Parking Lot 37, 2200 Red River

Occurred on 6-20-03 between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left side door lock was pried open on a green 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup truck. A blue suede single-fold wallet containing various credit cards and identification cards was stolen from the driver's door storage compartment of the vehicle. Loss value: $1.00.

Parking Lot 80, 1900 Red River

Occurred on 6-20-03 between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right side door lock was pried open on a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Two black Case logic CD cases containing a total of 100 compact discs, a black Qualcomm cellular telephone, a pocket knife in a brown leather belt case, a silver watch and a gray backpack containing a Spanish textbook, notebooks, a Texas Instruments TI-83 calculator and a Sony walkman with a yellow armband were stolen from the vehicle. Loss value: $450.00.

Parking Lot 107, 2500 North IH-35

Occurred on 6-19-03 between 3:40 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: The left side door handle housing was cracked on a green 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Repair cost: $75.00.

Performing Arts Center, 510 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 6-21-03 at 12:12 p.m.

Criminal Trespass (two counts): Two non-UT subjects were doing bicycle tricks on the east stairs of the building. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred on 6-20-03 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:55 p.m.

Suspicious Activity / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject followed a library staff member around the 4th floor for approximately one hour. The staff member later observed the subject kneeling down between bookshelves possibly engaged in lewd activity. The subject had prior convictions for indecent exposure. The subject had previously received a written criminal trespass warning.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred between 6-16-03 at 12 noon and 6-20-03 at 3:10 p.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write the same word on an elevator door, on a 6th floor bookshelf and in various locations on almost every floor inside the east stairwell. Removal cost: $100.00.

Occurred on 6-21-03 at 5:35 p.m.

Public Intoxication / Disorderly Conduct (Exposure): A non-UT subject was seen stumbling down the sidewalk and falling into the street with his pants lowered to the point it legally constituted indecent expose. The subject was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway

Occurred on 6-19-03 between 8:00a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Theft: A maroon Jansport backpack containing a hair brush and an open package of an over-the-counter medication was stolen from an unsecured 5th floor office. Loss value: $5.00.

University Satellite Operations Facility, 2012 Comal Street

Discovered on 6-20-03 at 8:15 a.m.

Graffiti: Purple spray paint was used to write three words on the west side of the exterior fence. Removal cost: $50.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 6-22-03 between 12 midnight and 12:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A paper dispenser in a first floor men's restroom was broken off the wall. Repair cost: $100.00.

Occurred on 6-20-03 between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Graffiti: An unknown object was used to etch words on a wall and a paper dispenser in a first floor men's restroom. Repair cost: $100.00.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Occurred between 6-21-03 at 9:30 p.m. and 6-22-03 at 3:55 p.m.

Graffiti: Silver paint was used to draw a picture on the east exterior wall of the building. Removal cost: $150.00.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Occurred on 6-21-03 between 7:30 p.m. and 10:10 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right front window was damaged when it was forced down on a black 1993 Saturn 4-door. A red backpack containing clothing, a checkbook and two engineering textbooks (one entitled "RF Micro Electronics") was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $50.00. Loss value: $45.00.

W.R. Woolrich Laboratories, 210 East 24th Street

Occurred on 6-21-03 at 4:43 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: The window was broken out of a 1st floor women's restroom. Repair cost: $75.00.

300 East 21st Street

Occurred on 6-22-03 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left front door lock to a 1998 Chrysler mini-van was damaged as if pressure had been applied to the lock to force it open. A black canvas bag containing a Dell Latitude laptop computer and cellular telephone power adapter was stolen from the vehicle. Loss value: $1,103.00.
