Occurred on 7-6-03 at 6:35 p.m.
Interference with Emergency Telephone Call / Criminal Mischief: A UT student stopped a male non-UT subject outside her apartment. The student is the subject's sister-in-law. The subject's estranged wife was inside the apartment. The sister-in-law attempted to call 9-1-1 on a cellular telephone when the husband took the telephone and put it in his pocket. The sister-in-law ran into her apartment. The husband damaged the locked apartment door when he kicked it and then he broke out the kitchen window. The subject left the scene before the police arrived. Repair cost: $500.00.
Goldsmith Hall, #5 West Mall
Occurred on 7-3-03 between 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
Theft: $93.00 cash and a piece of paper with a calling card number and pin number written on it were stolen from a purse while it was left in an unsecured 2nd floor room that was occupied by 20 of the victim's summer camp classmates. Loss value: $93.00.

Occurred on 7-3-03 at 8:10 p.m.
Failure to Identify / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a 9th floor room that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject initially stated he was a staff member and gave several false names. Besides other police action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation Building (MCC), 3925 West Braker Lane
Occurred on 7-3-03 between 6:00 a.m. and 10:40 a.m.
Terroristic Threat: A non-UT subject used a voice mail service to leave a threatening message for a non-UT building employee. The offender was upset about losing a job the employee had refered him to so the offender demanded money under the threat of serious bodily injury.
Parking Lot 70, 2000 Robert Dedman Drive
Occurred on 7-3-03 between 12:45 p.m. and 2:35 p.m.
Theft: The left front wheel and tire was stolen from a blue 1999 Acura while it was parked in the lot. A two-ton "bottle jack," that did not belong to the owner of the car, was supporting the left front side of the vehicle. Loss value: $250.00.
Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street
Discovered on 7-6-03 at 11:28 p.m.
Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write a word on a wall inside elevator #2. Removal cost: $50.00.

Occurred on 7-4-03 at 2:00 a.m.
Driving While Intoxicated / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (2 counts): A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for driving a vehicle in excess of the speed limit and running two stop signs. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated. A non-UT passenger, who was under the age of 21, was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving a cab at twice the posted speed limit. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for driving without motor vehicle insurance.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred o 7-5-03 between 5:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
Graffiti: Red and white permanent markers were used to write words on an arcade game in the Underground game room. An unknown device was used to etch a word in an elevator door on the 1st level. Repair cost: $150.00.
Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe
Occurred between 7-5-03 at 7:00 p.m. and 7-6-03 at 6:35 p.m.
Graffiti: Black spray paint was used to write words on an exterior wall on the north side of the building. Removal cost: $150.00.
