E. William Doty Fine Arts Building, 2301 Trinity

Occurred between 7-8-03 at 5:00 p.m. and 7-9-03 at 8:30 a.m.

Graffiti: A paint brush or paint roller was used to paint words with white and black paint in two locations on the southwest exterior brick wall of the building and on a brick support pillar on the west side pedestrian bridge. Removal cost: $500.00.

Experimental Science Building, 100 East 24th Street

Occurred between 7-3-03 at 6:00 p.m. and 7-9-03 at 9:00 a.m.

Theft: A black Dell Pentium 4 Celeron processor computer, two 15-inch flat monitors, a computer mouse, and a 6-slot surge protector power cord were stolen while they were secured to a table with a thin metal cable in a secured second floor teaching lab. Loss value $1,000.00.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building A, 2504-A Whitis Avenue

Occurred between 7-8-03 at 1:00 p.m. and 7-9-03 at 3:00 p.m.

Theft: A Dell Latitude CPX laptop computer was stolen from a secured storage cabinet inside a 7th floor office. Loss value: $1945.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 23rd Street

Occurred between 7-7-03 at 4:30 p.m. and 7-8-03 at 3:00 p.m.

Theft: Two new white china bathroom fixtures were stolen when they were left unsecured in a first floor hallway. Loss value: $103.00.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred on 7-9-03 at 8:33 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject became disruptive and refused to leave a computer terminal after the designated time of use had expired. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 7-9-03 at 8:15 a.m.

Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in a 3rd floor room that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject was found to have three outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for theft and traffic violations. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
