Experimental Science Building, 100 East 24th Street

Occurred between 7-12-03 at 5:00 p.m. and 7-13-03 at 9:00 a.m.

Theft: A silver Compaq laptop Presario 2100 Pentium computer was stolen from a 4th floor laboratory while it was secured to a table with a cable lock. Loss value: $700.00.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 7-11-03 between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Theft: A green and brown "Camel Trophy" 3-pocket backpack containing $20.00 cash, a silver Festina watch, a leather key ring and an identification card was stolen from a locker inside a men's locker room. The locker had been locked with a combination lock. When the owner returned, the locker was open with the combination lock broken off. Loss value: $231.00.

Parking Lot 118, 1811 Red River

Occurred 7-11-03 between 5:40 p.m. and 6:41 p.m.

Cruelty to Animals: A dog was left inside a parked 1995 blue Dodge for more than one hour. Travis County Animal Services measured the temperature inside the vehicle at 102 degrees and then took custody of the dog.

Performing Arts Center, 510 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 7-13-03 at 7:00 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject attempted to enter the backstage loading dock, an area reserved for performers and staff members. The subject did not leave the area when told to do so by a staff member. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred on 7-13-03 between 5:00 p.m. and 5:07 p.m.

Theft: A black leather MCM wallet containing various identification and debit cards was stolen from a backpack that was left on a chair at a 3rd floor study table for seven minutes. Loss value: $10.00.

Pharmacy Building, 2409 University

Occurred on 7-12-03 at 11:35 p.m.

Suspicious Person: An unidentified subject entered a 5th floor laboratory and looked inside the room. The subject left the room after seeing a UT student looking at him. When the UT student asked the subject his name, the subject identified himself only as "Michael" and continued to walk away at a quick pace. The subject is described as a black male, approximately 20 years old, 5'10" tall, 165 pounds, wearing a black t-shirt, black track pants and a baseball cap.

Robert Lee Moore Hall, 2515 Speedway

Occurred on 7-13-03 at 6:20 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping inside a 12th floor lounge that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject had previously received a written criminal trespass warning.

2500 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 7-11-03 at 8:40 p.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A UT student was stopped for driving a motor vehicle 44 miles per hour in a 15 mile per hour zone. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point she was driving while intoxicated.
