Engineering-Science Building, 2501 Speedway
Occurred on 7-30-03 at 7:48 p.m.
Suspicious Activity: An unidentified subject was seen "messing with a lock" that was securing a bicycle to a bicycle rack on the west side of the building. When the owner asked the subject what he was doing, the subject mumbled something then walked southbound on Speedway. The subject was described as a white male 6', 25 to 30 years of age, muscular build, stubble (facial hair). Subject was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, gray cargo pants, eyeglasses and was carrying a black backpack and a black mesh bag.
Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building B, 2504-B Whitis Avenue
Occurred on 7-29-03 between 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Harassing Communications: A non-UT, 10-year-old subject left three telephone messages on a 3rd floor office answering machine. The caller used "extensive profanity" and was incoherent when she threatened to do grave bodily harm to someone but did not say whom. The calls were traced to an off campus residence.
Main Building, #1 South Mall
Occurred on 7-30-03 at 2:50 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping under a window on the west side of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado
Discovered on 7-30-03 at 1:00 p.m.
Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write a word on the west exterior wall. Removal cost: $150.00.
Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe
Discovered on 7-30-03 at 4:06 p.m.
Graffiti: Black spray paint was used to write a symbol on the north exterior wall. Removal cost: $150.00.
300 East 23rd Street
Occurred on 7-30-03 at 10:53 a.m.
Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was stopped, while operating a motor vehicle, for not having a registration sticker on the vehicle. The vehicle had expired buyer tags and the driver did not have a driver's license and had no vehicle insurance. Subject was found to have two outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for operating a motor vehicle with no driver's license and no insurance.
Occurred on 7-30-03 between 9:00 a.m. and 1:05 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: The left rear passenger door window was broken out of a brown 1999 Toyota 4-door that was parked along the north curbline. Repair cost: $150.00.
