Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street

Occurred on 8-7-03 at 1:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A 15" concave mirror attached to a metal pole by the entry / exit gate of the underground garage was broken. Repair cost: $100.00.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 8-6-03 at 7:20 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a 2nd floor weight room that is reserved for use by faculty, staff, students and recreational sports card members. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

L. Theo Bellmont Hall, 2109 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between 8-1-03 at 10:30 a.m. and 8-4-03 at 9:30 a.m.

Theft: A Macintosh G4 computer was stolen from a metal and wood storage cabinet inside a 9th floor laboratory. A cable securing the computer to the cabinet had been cut. Loss value: $1,646.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 8-6-03 at 2:05 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A UT police officer observed a known non-UT subject on the second floor. The officer recognized the subject as a suspect from a previous theft report. At the time of the theft investigation the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

2000 Jester Service Drive

Reported on 8-6-03 at 2:00 p.m.

Assault by Threat: A UT student yelled at and threatened to "beat up" a Parking Enforcement Assistant after the student received a parking citation.

2200 Guadalupe

Occurred on 8-6-03 at 9:14 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was stopped for a traffic violation. The subject was found to be under the influence of prescription medications to the point he was driving while intoxicated. The subject was found to have five outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for traffic violations and one outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for theft.

2400 Speedway

Occurred on 8-5-03 at 3:30 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: While backing out of a parking space, a gray 2001 Infiniti was struck in the right rear bumper by a white UT panel van that left the scene without providing driver information. Repair cost: $1,400.00.

Whitis and 24th Street

Discovered on 8-7-03 at 3:50 a.m.

Graffiti: White spray paint was used to write words on a stop sign. Repair cost: $100.00.
