Brazos Garage, 210 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 9-21-03 at 5:35 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the ground floor. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway

Occurred on 9-21-03 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Theft: A black laptop computer case containing a silver VPR Matrix laptop computer was stolen from a secured 3rd floor locker. Loss value: $1,820.00.

Homer Rainey Hall, 200 West 21st Street

Occurred between 9-5-03 at 8:00 a.m. and 9-19-03 at 12:30 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unidentified subject(s) has repeatedly damaged building maps located in elevator #2 and in the elevator lobby on the 4th floor. Both maps had derogatory words written by a professor's name. One map also had the professor's name marked out while the other map had a thumbtack stuck in the map where the professor's office is located. Repair cost: $2.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred between 8-24-03 and 9-20-03 at 11:00 a.m.

Harassing Communications: Several annoying and threatening electronic communications were sent to a 2nd floor resident's e-mail service.

Parking Lot 56, 2600 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 9-20-03 between 1:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

Theft: A UT Parking and Transportation vehicle immobilizer (tire boot) was placed on a motor vehicle for unpaid service charges on 9-20-03 at 1:30 am. A sticker was placed on the vehicle's window warning driver not to move the car. An unidentified subject stole the vehicle immobilizer and removed the vehicle from the Parking Lot. Loss value: $425.00.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred on 9-21-03 between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Theft: A black leather wallet containing $20.00 cash and various identification and credit cards was stolen from a 5th floor women's restroom. Loss value: $25.00.

2200 Red River

Occurred on 9-19-03 at 8:40 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was reported sleeping on the grassy median by a UT grounds and maintenance employee. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway

Discovered on 9-21-03 at 3:10 p.m.

Graffiti: Red, pink, green and black spray paint was used to draw an image on a brick wall located on the south side of the building. Removal cost: $100.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred between 9-18-03 and 9-19-03 at 9:00 a.m.

Graffiti: A blue felt marker was used to draw an image and write a word on the west exterior wall. Removal cost: $100.00.

2000 Speedway

Occurred on 9-21-03 at 3:35 a.m.

Criminal Mischief (2 counts) / Interference with an Emergency Telephone Call / Assault by Contact: Two subjects in a black Lexus sport utility vehicle began a verbal altercation with a UT student who was inside a parked silver Volkswagon. The driver of the Lexus exited his vehicle and kicked the left rear quarter-panel of the Volkswagon. The UT student exited his vehicle and began to dial 9-1-1 on his cellular telephone. The passenger of the Lexus exited the Lexus and slapped the UT student's cellular telephone out of his hand causing damage to the telephone. Repair cost: $200.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 9-19-03 between 11:30 a.m. and 12 noon.

Theft: A metallic blue Motorola VGOI cellular telephone and a pair of brown rainbow flip-flop style shoes were stolen from a 3rd floor room while the owner slept on a nearby couch. A witness observed a subject enter the room during the time frame of the theft. The subject is described as a white male, 19 to 22 years of age, 6' to 6'2" tall, thin build, dark, "spiked" hair style, similar to a "buzz cut" and wearing a black headband, blue shirt, dark colored baggy knee-length shorts and shiney blue tennis shoes. Loss value: $90.00.

University Teaching Center, 105 West 21st Street

Discovered 9-19-03 at 6:15 p.m.

Graffiti: White paint was used to write letters on a west side exterior wall Removal cost: $100.00.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Discovered on 9-21-03 at 7:18 a.m.

Graffiti: White paint was used to write letters and words on the east side of the building. Removal cost: $100.00.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Occurred on 9-19-03 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:10 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left front window was broken out of a brown 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee when an unknown device was used to pry on the left front door frame. The stereo housing inside the dashboard was damaged when the Sony CDX M600 stereo system was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $900.00. Loss value: $100.00.
