Art Building and Museum, 2301 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between July 2001 and 10-8-03 at 12:05 p.m.

Harassing Communications / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found loitering around a 1st floor lecture hall. The subject was there to hear a UT faculty member give a lecture. The subject is a former acquaintance of the faculty member. In addition to following the faculty member around the building, the subject has also placed several unwanted telephone calls to the faculty member. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning citation.

Engineering Teaching Center, 204 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 10-2-03 at 9:30 p.m.

Assault: A UT staff member reported that a second UT staff member approached him in a 7th floor hallway and punched him in the face after he made a comment about the second staff member's work performance.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street

Occurred between 10-7-03 at 1:00 p.m. and 10-8-03 at 8:30 a.m.

Theft: A silver Schwinn bicycle was stolen while it was secured to a bicycle rack on the south side of the building with a combination cable lock. Loss value: $125.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 21st Street

Occurred on 10-8-03 at 11:20 p.m.

Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Two UT students were found in a 13th floor dormitory room while in possession of a glass smoking pipe containing marijuana in its bowl. Both students stated they received the marijuana from a subject identified only as "Opie" who left the dormitory room prior to the police officer's arrival. "Opie" is described as a white male, 18 to 19 years of age, 5'6" to 5'8" tall, heavy set with short brown hair.

1600 Manor

Occurred on 10-8-03 at 10:45 p.m.

Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by A Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found stumbling and falling down in the grassy area by the road. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 10-8-03 at 7:10 p.m.

Public Intoxication / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found on the 2nd floor asking people for money, a violation of UT Regents' Rules and Regulations. The subject was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. In addition to other police action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
