Burdine Hall, 2505 University Avenue

Occurred on 10-14-03 between 8:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Theft: A black Palm Pilot, model 5810 was stolen from an attach that was left in a front row chair of a 1st floor classroom while the owner provided a guest lecture to the class concerning Business Ethics. Loss value: $400.00.

Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street

Occurred on 10-19-03 at 2:30 a.m.

Assault (2 Counts): Two unidentified Hispanic males and one unidentified white male "jumped" a non-UT subject and a UT female student on the east side of the building. The subjects jumped the couple after an altercation in a nearby club. The student jumped on the back of one of the subjects and was thrown to the ground injuring her chin. The attackers fled the area. The three subjects were described as a two Hispanic males, one with a mustache and one wearing a brown fedora hat, a white male, approximately 6 foot tall wearing mardi gras beads, a green sweater and faded blue jeans.

Colorado Building Parking Garage, 903 West 7th Street

Occurred on 10-18-03 at 1:40 a.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision / Driving While Intoxicated / Assault: A UT staff member reported a white Dodge Intrepid struck a brown Toyota Camry that was parked on the 1st level of the garage. The Dodge left the scene without leaving notice. The driver of the Dodge was seen driving around the block and was later seen stopped by a curb talking to a female pedestrian. The pedestrian attempted to remove the keys from the Dodge's ignition by reaching through the passenger side window. The driver of the Dodge rolled the passenger side window up trapping the pedestrian's arm in the window. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall

Discovered on 10-20-03 at 1:18 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown object was used to bore a hole in a privacy wall in a 1st floor men's restroom. Several other smaller holes were "drilled" into the same wall. Repair cost: $175.00.

Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall

Discovered on 10-20-03 at 1:18 a.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to draw pictures on a 1st floor restroom wall. An unknown object was used to etch words on a wall in the same restroom. Repair cost: $175.00.

Parking Lot 53, 2600 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between 10-18-03 at 11:15 a.m. and 10-19-03 at 11:45 a.m.

Theft: A light green 2000 Ford Explorer "Eddie Bauer" edition was stolen while it was parked on the east side of the Parking Lot. A key ring containing a spare vehicle key was left on the center console box. Broken automobile glass was found on the ground next to where the vehicle had been parked. The vehicle also contained a white gold UT class ring from 1996. Loss value: $13,700.00.

Parking Lot 55, 2401 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 10-17-03 between 9:30 a.m. and 5:40 p.m.

Theft: A red 2001 Yamaha Vino scooter was stolen from the M-permit parking area in the Parking Lot. Loss value: $900.00.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred between 10-12-03 at 10:30 p.m. and 10-17-03 at 5:00 p.m.

Theft: A gray 1992 Honda Accord 4-door with a white Longhorn decal in the rear window was stolen from the north side of the Parking Lot. Loss value: $1,500.00.

2000 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 10-18-03 at 12:01 a.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A parked, white 1999 Nissan 4-door was struck in the left rear quarter panel by a green pick-up truck that left the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost: $900.00.

San Jacinto Garage, 2401 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 10-16-03 between 12:50 p.m. and 4:05 p.m.

Theft: A UT staff member reported a quarter of a tank of diesel fuel (approximately 5 gallons) was siphoned from his 2001 Dodge pick-up truck while it was parked on the north side of the 2nd level. Loss value: $6.20.

Sarah M. and Charles E. Seay Building, 108 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 10-18-03 between 12:01 a.m. and 5:44 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: Blue chalk was used to write words on the south exterior wall of the building. Removal cost: $25.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 10-19-03 between 2:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown object was used to scratch letters in an a 1st floor elevator door. Repair cost: $100.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 10-19-03 between 8:34 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

Graffiti: An unknown object was used to etch a word in a wooden handrail inside the northwest stairwell between the basement and 1st floor. Repair cost: $100.00.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Occurred on 10-18-03 between 12:30 a.m. and 3:40 a.m.

Graffiti: A gray paint pen was used to draw a picture on the east side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.

500 West 25th Street

Occurred on 10-18-03 at 4:35 a.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A parked red 2000 Buick 4-door was struck in the rear bumper by a green Ford Explorer that left the scene without leaving notice. The Buick's rear bumper fell from the vehicle as a result of the collision. Repair cost; $2,000.00.
