Occurred on 10-21-03 at 9:30 p.m.
Theft: On 10-21-03 at 9:25 pm, a vehicle immobilizer (tire boot) was placed on the front wheel of an illegally parked 2002 Mitsubishi 4-door. On 10-21-03 at approximately 9:30 pm, a UT staff member called UT Parking and Transportation and advised a male subject removed the tire boot, placed the tire boot inside the vehicle then drove away. Loss value: $300.00.

Occurred on 10-21-03 at 11:45 a.m.
Leaving the Scene Collision: Witnesses reported a red 1991 Mitsubishi 2-door backed into a parked 2000 Hyundai and left the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost $800.00.
38th Street and IH-35
Occurred on 10-21-03 at 6:20 p.m.
Evading Arrest: The owner of a stolen 2000 Ford Explorer (Campus Watch 10-20-03) called his cellular telephone that was inside his stolen vehicle when it was stolen. The owner spoke with a subject who identified himself as "James" who advised the owner he was going to a business at 38th and IH-35. The owner went to the business and observed his stolen vehicle in the Parking Lot. "James" went inside the business to inquire about getting a tattoo and selling the stolen vehicle. When officers arrived, they discovered "James" sitting in the stolen vehicle. When "James" observed the officers approaching the vehicle, he drove southbound in the northbound lanes of the IH-35 access road. "James" fled through the backyards of several residences before exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot in the 3200 block of Cherrywood. "James" was described as a white male in his early 20's, 5'8" tall, 160 pounds, short brown / "dirty blonde" hair and possibly a goatee, tattoos on his right arm, wearing an earth toned shirt, and blue jeans. Recovery value: $10,000.
