Ernest Cockrell Jr. Hall, 301 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 01-19-04 between 5:10 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Theft: A brown suitcase containing various hand tools and a black and brown shoulder bag containing various hand tools were stolen from the loading dock on the east side of the building. A witness observed two white males carrying a brown suitcase and a brown and black shoulder bag into the building. One of the subjects was described as being in his early 20's, 5'6" tall, "skinny build" and wearing baggy blue jeans and a black hat. No description was given for the second subject. Loss value: $40.00.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 Block North IH-35

Occurred on 01-20-04 at 5:28 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: Three non-UT subjects were found placing advertisement flyers on parked vehicles in violation of UT Regent's Rules and Regulations concerning solicitation. All three subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

J. T. Patterson Laboratories Building Building, 2415 Speedway

Occurred on 01-20-04 between 7:00 p.m. and 7:40 p.m.

Theft: A light gray Macintosh iBook laptop computer was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to an office desk in an unsecured 1st floor office. A white male subject in his early 20's, 5'8" tall, thin build, wearing a dark colored sweater with leather shoulder patches was seen "standing" in the hallway outside of the office during the time of the theft. Loss value: $1,500.00.

Robert A. Welch Hall, 105 East 24th Street

Discovered on 01-20-04 at 1:09 a.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write a word on a piece of plywood scaffolding located on the west side of the building. Removal cost: $30.00.

South Mall, 200 East 21st Street

Discovered on 01-21-04 at 2:31 a.m.

Obscene Display or Distribution: An unidentified subject(s) posted several pictures of an obscene nature on the campus information kiosks. Several similar photographs were found on other information kiosks around campus.

T. S. Painter Hall, 103 West 24th Street

Occurred between 01-16-04 and 01-19-04 at 1:00 p.m.

Theft: A 48" by 36" by 42" plexiglass experiment safety hood with two attached fluorescent lights was stolen from an unsecured 1st floor hallway. Loss value: $200.00.

Trinity Garage, 1815 Trinity

Occurred on 01-20-04 at 1:40 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: The back left quarter panel of a parked blue 2001 Volkswagon 2-door was struck by a dark colored 1997 Toyota sport utility that left the scene without leaving notice. A witness left a note on the struck vehicle. Repair cost: $1,000.00.
