Occurred on 2-5-04 at 9:20 p.m.

Smoking Tobacco in a Building: A UT professor was found smoking a cigarette in their office, which is a violation of state law. The professor said they were "too busy to step outside".

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 2-5-04 between 3:30 p.m. and 4:40 p.m.

Theft: A pair of Old Navy brand blue jeans and $60.00 in cash were stolen from a locker secured with a combination lock in the men's locker room. Loss value: $65.00.

Applied Research Laboratories, J.J. Pickle Research Campus, 10100 Burnet Road

Occurred between 1-29-04 at 5:00p.m. and 2-5-04 at 11:35 a.m.

Theft: A model VA520 15" flat screen monitor was stolen while it was left in a secured office in the Applied Research Laboratories. Loss value: $400.00.

Applied Research Laboratories, J.J. Pickle Research Campus, 10100 Burnet Road

Occurred between 1-12-04 at 5:00 p.m. and 2-5-04 at 11:35 a.m.

Theft: A Hewlett Packard Omni laptop computer and a Presario 1245 laptop computer were stolen while they were left in a secured office in the Applied Research Laboratories. Loss value: $250.00.

O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado

Occurred on 2-6-04 at 6:00 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the porch on the south side of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Discovered on 2-5-04 at 4:00 p.m.

Burglary of Coin Machine: A vending machine in a third floor women's restroom had been forced open, rendering the machine inoperable. Any money in the machine had been removed. Repair cost: $50.00.

2100 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 2-6-04 at 12:12 a.m.

Failure to Obey Traffic Device / Disorderly Conduct / Assist Outside Agency: A UT-subject was seen riding a skateboard on campus (a violation of Parking and Transportation Rules and Regulations). The subject disregarded a stop sign, appeared to make an obscene gesture to a UTPD officer, continued skateboarding down the street, and even rode southbound in the northbound lane of traffic. The subject was found to have 5 outstanding traffic warrants.
