Carothers Dormitory, 2501 Whitis Avenue

Harassment: A non-UT subject has repeatedly been making annoying telephone calls to a UT student after being told to stop. The UT student was advised to use the *57 feature on the dormitory phone to "trap" the phone number of harassing callers.

Occurred on 2-14-04 at 1:12 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by Minor: A UT student, who was not a resident of the dormitory and was under the age of 21, was found lying on the floor of a fourth floor men's room, crawling on his hands and knees and unable to stand. The student was found to be under the influence of alcohol to the point he needed to be transported by EMS to a local hospital for the treatment of alcohol poisoning.

Consumption of Alcohol by Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was having an extreme involuntary physical reaction due to the excessive consumption of alcohol in a 12th floor dormitory room. The subject was found to be under the influence of alcohol to the point that he needed to be transported by EMS to a local hospital for the treatment of alcohol poisoning.

Consumption of Alcohol by Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found in a 4th floor dorm room under the influence of alcohol to the point he needed to be transported by EMS to a local hospital for the treatment of alcohol poisoning.

Occurred on 2-14-04 at 3:30 a.m.

Assault with Bodily Injury / Assault by Contact / Consumption of Alcohol by Minor: A UT student threw a snowball near two unidentified white male subjects, who apparently objected to the action as one subject struck the UT student in the face with a closed fist. The unknown subjects then followed the UT student into the dormitory and pushed the on-duty RA when she approached them to ask for identification. The subjects ran from the area. The subjects were described as: a white male, 6' tall with short brown hair, a broad build, wearing a plaid burgundy shirt, blue jeans, and a jacket of unknown color. The second subject was a white male, 6' tall with short brown hair, a broad build with tattoos on his arms, last seen wearing a gray short sleeved shirt, blue jeans and a jacket of unknown color. While speaking with the Officer, the student who threw the snowball admitted to being under age and had drank several beers at a party that night.

Parking Lot 110, 2200 Comal Street

Occurred on 2-13-04 at 10:43 a.m.

Attempted Theft of Motor Vehicle: A UT employee observed a blue 1980's Oldsmobile Cutlass slowly cruising in the Parking Lot. A Hispanic male wearing a hooded sweatshirt was seen driving the vehicle. The first UT employee then told a second UT employee about the vehicle. The second employee walked over to the lot and saw a Hispanic male with a hooded sweatshirt standing next to the employee's parked yellow Oldsmobile Cutlass. The employee yelled at the subject who then fled the area. At that time, the employee noticed that the driver's door and the steering column were damaged on his car. Repair cost: $500.00.

Occurred on 2-16-04 at 1:30 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on a 3rd floor couch after the building was closed to the public. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio

Occurred on 2-13-04 at 10:30 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was reported loitering by the first floor elevators. The subject was issued a criminal trespass warning.

Discovered on 2-14-04 at 4:23 p.m.

Graffiti: A silver marker was used to write a word and draw symbols on a post in the northeast side of the 5th floor. Repair cost: $25.00.
