Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 2-16-04 between 11:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Reported on 2-17-04 at 10:00 a.m.

Theft: A blue, tan, and white Jansport backpack (containing 3 soft cover textbooks, a Sony Discman with Koss headphones and 15 compact discs) and a black gym bag with a TNSG emblem on the side containing miscellaneous clothing were stolen from a secured locker in the second floor men's locker room. Loss value: $95.00.

Mary E. Gearing Hall, 200 West 24th Street

Occurred between 2-9-04 at 1:30 p.m. and 2-10-04 9:00 a.m. Reported on 2-17-04 at 2:15 p.m.

Theft: A black carrying case with a black 2003 Dell latitude laptop computer was stolen from an unsecured 1st floor office. Loss value: $400.00.

Parking Lot 39, 2300 Red River

Occurred on 2-17-04 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:48 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger window was broken out of a black 2004 Mazda MX-6 while the car was parked in the north side of the lot. A JVC digital tuner stereo with a CD player and an undetermined amount of change was stolen. A suspicious person was reported looking in vehicles. The person was described as a Caucasian or Hispanic male, 5'10" with short hair and a waist-length black coat.

George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway

Occurred on 2-17-04 between 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m.

Suspicious Person: An unidentified white male was reported walking around several offices looking at the office equipment in each office. The subject gave different stories to UT employees as to why he was there. The subject was described as a Caucasian male in his 20s, 5'10", and 170 pounds with short curly brown hair wearing blue jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt with a logo, and a blue ball cap.

Student Services Building, 100 West Dean Keeton

Occurred on 2-17-04 between 3:25 p.m. and 4:01 p.m.

Suspicious Person: An unidentified Asian male was seen looking around in a 1st floor supply room. The subject was also seen in the same room last week. Each time the subject was approached by UT employees, he ran off. The subject was described as: Asian male in his early 20s, 5'9" with a black jacket or trench coat, dark pants, glasses, and short black spiked hair.
