Andrews Dormitory, 2401 Whitis Avenue

Discovered on 2-29-04 at 12:14 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown subject broke the window and pushed out the screen on a 1st floor unisex restroom. Repair cost: $150.00.

Experimental Science Building, 100 East 24th Street

Occurred on 2-20-04 between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Reported on 2-27-04 at 1:30 p.m.

Theft: A UT payroll check for $590.00 and $90.00 in cash were stolen form an unsecured 4th floor office. Loss value $680.00.

Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Occurred on 2-28-04 at 12:30 p.m.

Suspicious Activity: A non-UT subject who was a season ticket holder lost her ticket, so had one reprinted, rendering the first ticket invalid. An unknown subject found the lost ticket and reportedly sold it to another non-UT subject for $40.00. The second non-UT subject could not enter the Erwin Center with the invalid ticket. Loss value: $40.00.

Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Occurred on 2-28-04 at 12:35 p.m.

Theft by Deception: An unknown subject was reported selling pass-out stubs to the Men's basketball game. A subject matching the description and selling tickets was stopped for questioning. During questioning, a patron approached the officer and reported that the three tickets that he had purchased for $75.00 from the subject were invalid. The subject returned the $75.00 to the patron.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 2-27-04 between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Theft: A dark green Hugo backpack containing a blue Kyocera cell phone with a broken antenna, a pair of black Lotto soccer shoes, a blue covered checkbook, and a UT identification card was stolen from an unsecured locker in a second floor men's locker room.

Pharmacy Building, 2409 University

Occurred on 2-27-04 between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown object was used to scratch a quarter inch line in the top of a desk, and a pencil was used to write words on the back of the desk. Repair cost: $100.00.

T. S. Painter Hall, 103 West 24th Street

Occurred on 2-27-04 at 4:30 p.m. Reported on 2-27-04 at 6:30 p.m.

Theft: A "suspicious" subject was seen by a student pacing back and forth in front of a 1st floor laboratory, glancing over his shoulder at the student watching him. The student turned around in time to see the suspicious person leave the lab, carrying a white Sartorius electronic scale. The student reported this to the lab supervisor, who inventoried the lab, then searched the other labs looking for the suspect. When she couldn't find anyone matching the description of the suspect, she told her supervisor. At this point UTPD was contacted. The theft suspect was described as a white male in his early 20s, 5'11" - 6'0" with blonde spiky hair, shiny metal rimmed glasses with oblong or oval lenses, and wearing a long sleeve green sweat shirt and may have been wearing light brown pants. Loss value: $400.00.

Parking Lot 70, 2000 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 2-27-04 between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A silver 2002 Honda Civic that was legally parked and unattended, was struck in the left side front bumper by an unknown vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle left the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost: $1000.00.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Occurred on 2-27-04 at 9:45 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was seen on the east side of the building, apparently writing on the wall. During questioning, it was determined that the subject had a previously issued written criminal trespass warning.

1900 Brazos

Occurred on 2-28-04 at 8:15 p.m.

Violation of an Official Traffic Control Device / Driving While License Suspended / Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility: A 1990 Toyota 4-Runner was seen making an illegal left turn at an intersection posted "Right turn only". During questioning, it was determined that the driver, a non-UT subject, did not have a valid drivers license or liability insurance.

2300 Speedway

Occurred on 2-26-04 at 5:46 p.m.

Expired Registration / Driving While License Suspended / Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility: A 1995 Jeep Cherokee was seen traveling northbound on Speedway with an expired registration sticker. When stopped, it was discovered that the driver, a UT-subject, was driving with a suspended license.
