Blanton Dormitory, 2500 University

Occurred on 3-19-04 between 12:00 noon and 8:00 p.m.

Theft: A turquoise color women's style bicycle (brand name unknown) was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a bicycle rack on the southeast side of the dormitory. Loss value: $100.00.

Brackenridge Apartments, 3300 Lake Austin Blvd.

Occurred between 3-19-04 at 10:00 p.m. and 3-20-04 at 9:00 a.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A gold 1997 Toyota Avalon was struck in the left front quarter panel while it was parked in the 3300 block of Lufkin by an unknown vehicle that left the scene without leaving notice. The area around the damage on the struck vehicle appeared to have been wiped clean prior to the discovery of the damage by the owner. Repair cost: $250.00.

McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway

Occurred on 3-21-04 at 5:30 a.m.

Criminal Trespass / Evading Arrest or Detention: A non-UT subject was found in a 5th floor hallway after the posted building hours. The subject ran from the officer before being stopped in the 2200 block of Guadalupe. The subject had previously received a written criminal trespass warning.

Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Occurred on 3-21-04 at 6:50 p.m.

Theft: Two non-UT subjects were found in possession of two stolen tickets for the NCAA Women's basketball tournament. Recovery value: $30.00.

Gateway Apartments, 1600 West 6th Street

Occurred on 3-22-04 at 2:45 a.m.

Suspicious Activity: A resident observed an unidentified subject standing in the open doorway of a 1991 Chevrolet 2-door. When the subject saw the resident, he ran to an awaiting late 1980's model gray Ford 4-door. The Ford was being driven by a second subject. The vehicle drove away with its headlamps turned off. The faceplate to a JVC AM / FM / CD player was found on the ground near the 1991 Chevrolet 2-door. The two subjects were described as Hispanic males in their early 20s, thin build and between 5'7" and 5'10" tall.

Gateway Apartments, 1600 West 6th Street

Discovered on 3-22-04 at 3:00 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right rear window was broken out of a 1996 Toyota 4-door while it was parked and unattended. A child safety seat was stolen from the vehicle. Loss value: $50.00. Repair cost: $150.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 3-20-04 between 9:00 a.m. and 10:40 a.m.

Burglary: A Dell flat screen computer monitor was stolen from a countertop next to an open customer service window in the 1st floor mail services room. Loss value: $400.00.

L. Theo Bellmont Hall, 2109 San Jacinto Blvd.

Discovered on 3-22-04 at 2:45 a.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write a word on the exterior trim to an elevator door on the 2nd level. Removal cost: $50.00.

Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center, 1900 Red River

Occurred on 3-19-04 at 9:48 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found loitering in a 2nd floor women's restroom that was reserved for use by faculty, staff and students. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio

Occurred on 3-20-04 at 9:00 p.m.

Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Two non-UT subjects were found on the 5th level of the garage. One of the subjects was in possession of a plastic bag containing less than one ounce of marijuana and a ceramic pipe containing marijuana residue.

2000 Speedway

Occurred on 3-22-04 at 2:25 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found laying in the middle of the roadway while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Occurred on 3-19-04 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right rear opera window was broken out of a black Infiniti G20 4-door while it was parked in the northwest Parking Lot. Items inside the vehicle were disturbed. Repair cost: $100.00.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Occurred on 3-19-04 between 7:55 p.m. and 8:20 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right front window was broken out of blue 2000 Chevrolet Suburban while the vehicle was parked in the northeast Parking Lot. Several items inside the vehicle were "rummaged" through. Repair cost: $175.00.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Occurred on 3-19-04 between 6:15 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left front window was broken out of a red Chevrolet Suburban while the vehicle was parked in the west portion of the east Parking Lot. A pink cloth purse containing a Nokia cellular telephone, various items of make-up and a wallet with $50.00 and a Texas identification card was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $175.00. Loss value: $156.00.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Occurred on 3-19-04 between 7:50 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left rear window was broken out of a black 1996 Acura 4-door while the vehicle was parked in the north Parking Lot. A black nylon case containing a Toshiba laptop computer and two wallets; each containing various identification cards and credit cards was stolen from the vehicle. Loss value: $850.00. Repair cost: $150.00.

Occurred on 3-21-04 at 5:00 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found "camping" in the creek bed by the northeast Parking Lot. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

38th Street and Lamar

Occurred on 3-20-04 at 11:30 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence by a Minor / Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for a traffic violation while she was driving a 1992 Toyota. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. A non-UT passenger inside the vehicle was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.
