Biology Laboratories, 205 West 24th Street

Occurred between 3-30-04 at 6:15 p.m. and 3-31-04 at 8:45 a.m.

Burglary: A silver Macintosh G4, 15" laptop computer was stolen from a secured 2nd floor office. Loss value: $1,900.00.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 3-31-04 at 11:50 a.m.

Assault: A UT student slapped a second UT student in the face when the second student asked the first student to leave the 1st floor weight room during a scheduled weight lifting class for which the first student was not registered.

Occurred on 3-31-04 at 6:25 p.m.

Forgery / Theft of Service / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found playing basketball on a 2nd floor basketball court while in possession of 6 counterfeit guest day passes. Pending further law enforcement action, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

J.J. Pickle Research Campus, 10100 Burnet Road

Occurred between 3-30-04 at 4:00 p.m. and 3-31-04 at 7:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unidentified subject used a liquid adhesive to "freeze" the locking cylinder to a 1st floor workroom in building 136. Repair cost: $80.00.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building. B, 2504-B Whitis Avenue

Occurred between 3-30-04 at 6:00 p.m. and 3-31-04 at 12 noon.

Theft: A Shure stereo microphone model VP88 was stolen from an unsecured 1st floor office. Loss value: $657.00.

Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 21st Street

Occurred on 3-28-04 at 7:00 p.m.

Attempted Theft: While taking a shower in a 1st floor bathroom shower stall, a resident heard someone removing a key ring from the resident's shower kit. The resident exited the shower to observe a subject running from the bathroom. The resident chased after the subject but lost sight of the subject. A second dormitory resident found the keys and turned them in. The subject was described as a black male subject in his 20's, 5'11" tall, 170 pounds with a muscular build and wearing a gray t-shirt and gym shorts.

Parking Lot 70, 2000 block of Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 3-31-04 at 10:30 a.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A parked green 1997 Saturn 4-door was struck in the left side by a black 2002 Hyundai 4-door that left the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost: $500.00.

Robert A. Welch Hall, 105 East 24th Street

Occurred on 3-30-04 between 5:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Burglary: A Dell desktop computer was stolen from an unsecured 3rd floor laboratory. Loss value: $500.00.

Roberts Hall Dormitory, 303 East 21st Street

Occurred on 3-25-04 between 9:03 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Theft: A Fed Ex package containing a computer game was stolen from an unsecured 1st floor office. Loss value: $49.99.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred between 3-26-04 at 1:00 p.m. and 3-31-04 at 10:45 p.m.

Theft: $89.00 was stolen from a secured 5th floor dormitory room.

Sarah M. and Charles E. Seay Building, 108 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 3-31-04 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.

Theft: A black vinyl Eastland backpack containing a textbook, a gray Texas Instruments calculator, a Walkman portable AM / FM / cassette player stereo and a 3-ring binder containing personal information was stolen from an unsecured 2nd floor workroom. Loss value: $90.00.
