Blanton Dormitory, 2500 University
Occurred on 4-17-04 at 12:27 a.m.
Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor / Possession of a Fictitious License: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found passed out in a second floor dorm room. The student thought he was entering his friend's first floor dormitory room when he entered the unsecured 2nd floor dormitory room and passed out. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. During questioning by UTPD, the student presented a fictitious drivers license.
Occurred on 4-16-04 at 11:55 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found camping on the East Mall. In addition to being told to leave by UT Legal Affairs, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st
Occurred on 4-18-04 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Theft: A silver Compaq Presario laptop computer was stolen from a secured 4th floor dorm room. During questioning, it was determined that the roommate's sister's non-UT boyfriend took the laptop to get back at the others in the room because they teased him about his height. Recovery value: $1500.00.
Main Building, #1 South Mall
Occurred between 4-1-04 and 4-16-04 at 7:45 a.m., Reported on 4-16-04 at 8:58 a.m.
Theft: Two wedding photographs and a bottle of hand lotion were stolen from a desktop and a desk drawer in a 3rd floor office over a period of two weeks. Loss value: $40.00.
Parking Lot 41, 2200 Red River
Occurred on 4-16-04 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
Burglary of a Vehicle: A Sony Car Compact Disc player, a gold ring, and a pair of gold earrings were stolen from a secured 1996 Honda Civic parked on the north side of the lot. The owner found a bent wire coat hanger in the car when they discovered the stereo missing. Loss value: $70.00.
Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall
Occurred on 4-17-04 between 8:30 p.m. and 9:35 p.m.
Theft: A black backpack containing a purse with identification cards, food stamps, and $12.00 in US currency was stolen when it was left unattended in the public access area on the first floor. The purse was described as having "multi-colored squares with buttons". Loss value: $22.00.
