Occurred on 4-30-04 between 8:15 a.m. and 1:16 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown object was used to scratch the length of a trunk lid to a gray Volkswagon Jetta while it was parked on the down ramp to level one. Repair cost: $700.00.

Ernest Cockrell Jr. Hall, 301 East Dean Keeton

Discovered on 5-2-04 at 10:00 a.m.

Graffiti: Black and white paint were used to write words and draw symbols on the lid to a trash can located on the north side of the building. Removal cost: $40.00.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 5-2-04 between 4:00 p.m. and 5:50 p.m.

Theft: A black wallet containing $43.00 was stolen from a secured locker in the 1st floor men's locker room. The lock was secured with a combination style lock. Loss value: $49.00.

Occurred on 5-2-04 between 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

Theft: A brown Tommy Hilfiger wallet containing $50.00, a silver Caravella watch and various identification and credit cards was stolen from a secured locker inside a 1st floor men's locker room. The locker was secured with a combination style lock. Loss value: $75.00.

Geology Building, #10 East Mall

Occurred between 4-30-04 at 2:00 p.m. and 5-1-04 at 1:30 p.m.

Burglary: A gray Sony Vaio laptop computer was stolen from a secured 5th floor office. Loss value: $1,300.00.

Geology Building, #10 East Mall

Occurred between 4-30-04 at 6:30 p.m. and 5-1-04 at 3:00 p.m.

Burglary: A silver Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop computer was stolen from a secured 6th floor office. Loss value: $1,500.00.

LLF Living Learning Center C, 2610 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 5-2-04 at 4:00 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor / Criminal Mischief: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, had discharged a fire extinguisher throughout the first floor lobby of the building. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages. Repair cost: $30.00.

LLF Living Learning Center E, 2610 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 5-1-04 at 1:47 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found leaning over a trash can while displaying an extreme involuntary physical reaction to the over consumption of an alcoholic beverage. The student was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point she needed to be transported by EMS to a local emergency room for the treatment of alcohol poisoning.

Parking Lot 80, 1900 Red River

Occurred on 5-2-04 at 3:05 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A witness reported a white female with long blonde hair struck a parked maroon 2001 Acura while driving in a silver 2003 Nissan. After striking the vehicle, the female subject examined the damage to both vehicles then left the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost: $2,000.00.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred on 5-2-04 between 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Theft: Three textbooks were stolen when they were left on a desk in an unsecured 2nd floor room. Loss value: $150.00.

Recreational Sports Center, 2001 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 4-30-04 between 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Theft: A black leather wallet containing various credit and identification cards were stolen from a secured locker inside a 1st floor men's locker room. The combination style pad lock that was used to secure the locker was also stolen. Loss value: $8.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 4-30-04 between 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.

Theft: A blue and gray Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop computer was stolen from an unsecured 2nd floor south tower dormitory room. Both the victim and his roommate failed to secure the dormitory room door when they left for classes at different times. Loss value: $1,100.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 5-3-04 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Burglary: A Toshiba Satellite 5501 laptop computer, $16.00 and five Sony Playstation games (NBA Live 2003, College Gameday 2003, Grand Turismo, Crazy Taxi and NBA Street) were stolen from an unsecured 3rd floor south tower dormitory room. Loss value: $1,146.00.

George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway

Occurred on 4-30-04 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:40 p.m.

Burglary: A blue Gary Fisher Tassajara bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a u-lock to a bicycle rack located on the east side of the building. The bicycle was registered with The University of Texas. Loss value: $150.00.

Trinity Garage, 1815 Trinity Street

Occurred on 4-30-04 at 4:30 p.m.

Suspicious Activity / Assist Outside Agency: Responding to a report from a UT staff member of a subject pulling on door handles of parked vehicles inside the garage, UTPD officers stopped a non-UT subject next to a parked vehicle who matched the description. The subject advised "the radio had been telling" him to go to the Trinity Garage to "pick up" a car. The subject admitted to being under the influence of metamphetamines. The subject was found to have two outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for traffic violations.
