John B. Connally Center for Justice, 726 East 25th Street

Occurred on 5-13-04 at 4:10 p.m., Reported on 5-14-04 at 11:09 a.m.

Theft: A UT staff member saw an unknown subject getting into a taxicab with a television and a VCR. A Sony 21 inch color television and a Sharp VCR were later discovered missing from two third floor rooms. The subject was described as a black male, 5'9" wearing a red and white sport shirt. Loss value: $300.00.

Occurred on 5-15-04 at 12:58 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were seen soliciting signatures, which is against the UT Regents' Rules and Regulations. Both were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Experimental Science Building, 100 East 24th Street

Occurred between 5-12-04 and 5-14-04 at 8:40 a.m.

Suspicious Activity: An unknown subject sent vulgar emails to a UT staff member and a UT faculty member, and two signs near the faculty member's office door were marked on with a black marker.

Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall

Occurred on 5-14-04 at 3:15 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a 1st floor restroom reserved for current faculty, staff, and students. The subject said that he had come to campus to meet a professor on the Main Mall, but could not remember the professor's name. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Occurred on 5-14-04 at 4:45 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was seen loitering in a 1st floor restroom reserved for current faculty, staff, and students. When questioned, the subject gave conflicting answers. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall

Occurred on 5-14-04 at 6:00 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was seen loitering in a 2nd floor area reserved for current faculty, staff, and students. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Manor Garage, 2017 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 5-15-04 at 12:00 p.m.

Assault: Two non-UT subjects had a verbal altercation, which led to an assault after one subject hit the other with cookies.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st

Occurred between 5-10-04 at 1:00 p.m. and 5-14-04 at 8:00 p.m.

Theft: A black Toshiba laptop computer was stolen from a secured 6th floor locker. Loss value: $500.00.

Physical Plant 5, 1600 Manor

Discovered on 5-16-04 at 11:00 a.m.

Graffiti: Red spray paint was used to write words on the north side of the building. Removal cost: $200.00.

Prather Hall Dormitory, 305 East 21st

Occurred on 5-14-04 at 11:00 a.m.

Assault: Two UT students, both roommates in a 4th floor dorm room, had a verbal altercation over property that led to physical assault.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (6 counts) / Possession of Marijuana (1 Count) / Criminal Trespass (6 Counts): Six UT students were found on the roof of the dormitory, in possession of several glass pipes containing burned marijuana residue. One subject was found to be in possession of less than two ounces of marijuana.

2300 Speedway

Occurred on 5-15-04 at 4:00 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT student was seen bicycling down the street swerving from curb to curb, disregarding stop signs and almost colliding with objects in the street. During questioning, it was determined that the student had been drinking alcoholic beverages on 6th Street.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Discovered on 5-15-04 at 1:23 a.m.

Graffiti: An unknown object was used to etch words into the marble walls of two stalls in an underground men's rest room. Repair cost: $200.00.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Occurred between 5-15-04 at 4:30 p.m. and 5-16-04 at 5:00 p.m.

Graffiti: White and blue paint was used to make markings on a sign on the west side of the first floor parking garage. Removal cost: $50.00.

Graffiti: Black paint was used to write words on the side of a vehicle parked in the first floor parking garage. Removal cost: $200.00.

Occurred between 5-15-04 at 4:30 p.m. and 5-16-04 at 5:00 p.m.

Graffiti: Silver paint was used to make markings on the north wall of the first floor parking garage. Removal cost: $50.00.

Occurred between 5-16-04 between 5:00 p.m. and 10:05 p.m.

Graffiti: A brown permanent marker was used to make markings on a support pillar in the first floor parking garage. Removal cost: $50.00.

San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio

Occurred between 5-15-04 at 7:00 p.m. and 5-16-04 at 3:20 p.m.

Graffiti: Black spray paint was used to draw a symbol on the exterior of the 1st floor west wall. Removal cost: $50.00.

Graffiti: Red spray paint was used to write words on the exterior of the 1st floor south wall. Removal cost: $275.00.
