Occurred on 7-8-04 at 2:25 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated / Possession of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle: A non-UT subject was stopped after driving a black 4-door sedan the wrong way on a one-way roadway for approximately 6 blocks. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point she was driving while intoxicated. The subject was also found to be in possession of an open bottle of whiskey and two cans of beer.

F. Loren Winship Drama Building, 300 East 23rd Street

Discovered on 7-8-04 at 12:40 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unidentified subject pushed a cement bench over on the south side of the building. The mounting brackets for the cement bench were damaged. Repair cost: $75.00.

Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Discovered on 7-8-04 at 2:02 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A black pen was used to write illegible words on the metal control panel of elevator #1. Removal cost: $20.00.

Robert A. Welch Hall, 105 East 24th Street

Occurred on 7-6-04 at 2:30 p.m.

Theft: A UT staff member witnessed four subjects enter a 2nd floor laboratory to install a wireless internet antenna. While the subjects were working, they discovered two shop vacuum filters and a bag of three shop vacuum bags. The staff member heard one of the subjects state the items should not have been there and that the items now belonged to them. The subjects left the room with the shop vacuum equipment. Loss value: $40.00.

Occurred on 7-7-04 at 10:20 p.m.

Possession of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle: A non-UT subject was stopped after running a red light while driving a silver 2002 Volkswagen Bug. The subject was found to be in possession of an open can of beer while operating a motor vehicle.

2100 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 7-7-04 at 12:21 p.m.

Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found soliciting signatures in violation of UT Regents' Rules and Regulations concerning solicitation. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for a traffic violation. In addition to other law enforcement actions taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Speedway Garage, 105 East 27th Street

Occurred on 7-7-04 between 10:00 a.m. and 7:40 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A maroon Pontiac Grand Am 4-door, that was parked on the up-ramp to level 4, was struck in its right rear bumper by an unidentified vehicle that left the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost: $300.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 7-7-04 at 9:00 p.m.

Graffiti / Criminal Trespass (2 counts): Two non-UT subjects were found in the Union Underground shooting pool. One of the subjects was found to have used a black indelible marker to write words on two walls in a third floor men's restroom. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings. Removal cost: $45.00.
