Arno Nowotny Building, 709 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Discovered on 7-17-04 at 12:25 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown object struck the cement capping to a brick retaining wall located on the northeast corner of the property. The cement capping broke into several pieces. Repair cost: $1,000.00.

Brackenridge Apartments, 3557 Lake Austin Blvd.

Occurred on 7-18-04 between 12 midnight and 3:40 p.m.

Theft: The frame and rear wheel to a red 21-speed Schwinn bicycle were stolen while the front tire was secured with a chain and padlock to a bicycle rack located on the west side of Building E. Loss value: $125.00.

Computation Center, #1 East Mall

Occurred on 7-16-04 at 7:00 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the east side of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Gateway Apartments, 1618 West 6th Street

Occurred on 7-17-04 at 4:29 p.m.

Criminal Trespass / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was found loitering on a picnic table located on the northwest side of the apartment complex. The subject was found to be in possession of a piece of paper containing marijuana residue. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Manor Garage, 2017 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 7-15-04 between 12:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A parked 1996 Dodge Ram pick-up truck was struck in the along its left side by an unidentified vehicle that left the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost: $500.00.

Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletics Center, 2015 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 7-13-04 between 5:10 p.m. and 5:40 p.m.

Theft: A football ring commemorating the 2003 Holiday Bowl and a wallet containing $50.00 and various credit and identification cards were stolen from a bench in a 1st floor locker room. Loss value: $380.00.

O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado

Occurred on 7-19-04 at 3:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A UT Guard observed a non-UT subject kick a window located on the southwest side of the building. The kick caused damage to the window and the window frame. Repair cost: $150.00.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred on 7-18-04 at 3:55 a.m.

Assault (Family Violence): Two non -UT subjects were found arguing in the Parking Lot near a parked vehicle. The two subjects had been at a poker game in celebration of their one-year anniversary of dating. The subjects were arguing about the winnings from the poker game. At one point, one of the subjects grabbed the other subject around the neck causing the second subject pain.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred on 7-18-04 between 2:25 a.m. and 3:59 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left front window was broken out of a silver Jeep sport utility vehicle. The center console was found open. At this time, it is unknown if any items were stolen from the vehicle. Loss value: Unknown at this time. Repair cost: $150.00.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred on 7-18-04 between 2:25 a.m. and 3:59 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left front window was broken out of a blue Mitsubishi 4-door. The center console and glove compartment box were both found open. At this time, it is unknown if any items were stolen from the vehicle. Loss value: Unknown at this time. Repair cost: $150.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 7-17-04 at 2:15 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A UT student discovered his bicycle seat had been stolen from his bicycle which was secured to a bicycle rack located on the west side of the building. The student confronted a non-UT subject who was still in the area and in possession of the stolen bicycle seat. The non-UT subject has a history of bicycle thefts from the UT Campus area. The subject had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning. The subject was found to be in possession of a pair of small bolt cutters. Two different unsecured bicycles were found in the bicycle racks. Cut cable locks were discovered by each of the unsecured bicycles.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 7-17-04 at 7:45 p.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 counts) / Failure to Identify: Two non-UT subjects were found sleeping on couches in an area reserved for faculty, staff and students. One of the subjects initially gave a false name then provided a correct name when confronted with law enforcement action being taken for failure to identify. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

University Teaching Center, 105 West 21st Street

Discovered on 7-19-04 at 3:10 a.m.

Graffiti: A green permanent marker and a black permanent marker were used to write words on a wall inside of a 2nd floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $50.00

Wooldridge Hall, 600 West 24th Street

Discovered on 7-18-04 at 12:45 a.m.

Graffiti: An unidentified subject used black spray paint to write words, including the word "Graffiti" on the north wall of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.

23rd Street and San Jacinto Blvd.

Discovered on 7-18-04 at 9:20 a.m.

Graffiti: A white indelible marker was used to write a word on a handrail located on the northwest corner of the intersection.
