Suspicious Activity: A subject who identified himself as "Ed Reynolds" telephoned a resident of a 5th floor dormitory room and advised the resident he was with United Consumer Benefit Group. The subject advised the resident he was attempting to remove her name, contact information and bank information from "over 1,500 calling lists." The caller told the resident he needed to verify her information and asked the resident to provide her name, address, telephone number and bank account information. After the resident provided the information, the caller told the resident she would receive a letter containing two promotional offers within 6 weeks time. The caller provided contact information for him and his company. When the resident attempted to contact the company, she discovered the caller had provided her with false contact information.

Occurred between 7-30-04 at 5:30 p.m. and 7-31-04 at 11:30 a.m.
Theft: $25.00 and various identification and credit cards were stolen from a purse that was left on a shelf in an unsecured 3rd floor break-room. Loss value: $25.00.

Graffiti: An unknown device was used to carve words in a 1st floor men's restroom wall. Repair cost: $300.00.
