Colorado Building Parking Garage, 903 West 7th Street

Discovered on 8-9-04 at 2:10 a.m.

Graffiti: White spray paint was used to write letters on the east wall of the north ramp to the parking garage. Removal cost: $50.00.

2100 Concho Street

Occurred on 8-9-04 at 5:30 a.m.

Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon / Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in a 1990 Lexus with its parking lights on. The subject was found to be in possession of a loaded chrome-plated .25 caliber handgun, 1/16th of an ounce of marijuana, a "roach clip" and a hand scale.

Living Learning Center, 2610 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 8-7-04 between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Attempted Theft / Criminal Mischief: A cable lock was cut from a bicycle that was secured to a bicycle rack located on the east side of the building. The bicycle was still secured to the bicycle rack with a u-lock type bicycle lock. Loss value: $20.00.

Moffett Molecular Biology Building, 2500 Speedway

Occurred on 8-6-04 at 1:00 p.m.

Suspicious Activity: A UT staff member reported receiving a suspicious telephone call at his 2nd floor office. The caller advised the staff member he was with a government grants agency and needed to verify the staff member's personal information to process a grant. The staff member refused to provide his personal information.

Nursing School, 1710 Red River

Occurred on 8-8-04 at 3:45 a.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 Counts): Two non-UT subjects were found sleeping on the south side of the building. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Penick-Allison Tennis Center, 1701 Trinity

Occurred on 8-6-04 at 10:20 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found lying under a tent on the top row of the grand stands. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio

Occurred on 8-8-04 at 7:38 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A UT staff member reported a non-UT subject had been seen running, yelling and smoking an unidentified object in the garage. The subject was found near a lighter and a hand rolled marijuana cigarette. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

1900 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 8-8-04 at 5:59 p.m.

Graffiti / Evading Arrest or Detention: An unidentified subject was found using black spray paint to write a word on a cement wall under a bridge over Waller Creek. The subject ran from the police officer. At one point, the subject fell into the creek and emerged from the creek limping on his left leg. The officer lost sight of the subject when the officer fell into the creek and sustained an injury to his leg. The subject is described as a white male, 18 to 22 years of age, 5'9" tall, 150 pounds, red hair wearing a white t-shirt, green shorts and a black backpack. Removal cost: $100.00.

Trinity Garage, 1815 Trinity

Occurred on 8-8-04 between 3:32 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left rear opera window was broken out of a silver 2001 Jeep Cherokee while it was parked in the northwest side of the 4th level. A case containing 20 compact discs, $10.00 and a parking garage access card was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $100.00. Loss value: $60.00.

Trinity Garage, 1815 Trinity

Occurred on 8-8-04 between 3:32 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right rear opera window was broken out of a white Toyota sport utility vehicle while it was parked in the northwest side of the 4th level. A silver Panasonic stereo faceplate was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $100.00. Loss value: $100.00.

Trinity Garage, 1815 Trinity

Occurred on 8-8-04 between 3:32 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right rear opera window was broken out of a red Chevrolet Trailblazer while it was parked in the northwest side of the 4th level. A gray AM/FM/CD player stereo was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $100.00. Loss value: $150.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 8-6-04 at 3:40 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a 3rd floor area that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

University of Texas Elementary School, 2200 East 6th Street

Occurred on 8-6-04 between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Theft: A Califone Performer Plus AM/FM/CD player was stolen from an unsecured classroom. Loss value: $323.00.

Consumption of Alcohol Near Schools / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found consuming an alcoholic beverage on the north side of the school. The subject had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning for the University Elementary School.
