Theft / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was stopped for riding a black and blue Trek 4900 bicycle on a sidewalk and failing to yield right of way at an intersection. The subject advised that his brother, who is a known bicycle thief, gave him the bicycle. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning and released. Four hours after the subject was released, a UT student reported his bicycle had been stolen when it was secured with a cable lock to a street signpost located on south side of Jesse H. Jones Communication Center building C, 2504 Whitis Avenue. The student's bicycle was not registered with the UT division of Parking and Transportation. The student did posses the sales receipt for the bicycle that listed his bicycle's serial number. The serial number matched the serial number of the bicycle the non-UT subject had been riding.

The officers also heard a female voice screaming in the general area of where the vehicle had been. One officer stopped the vehicle while a second officer located a non-UT female subject, who was under the age of 21, "crouched down" by some shrubbery. The non-UT driver of the vehicle and the female subject were acquaintances. The male subject had pulled the vehicle over to allow the female subject to exit the vehicle to relieve herself.
