Carothers Dormitory, 2501 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 8-22-04 between 6:00 p.m. and 10:17 p.m.

Theft: A blue and silver Mongoose bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to the bicycle racks located on the west side of the building. Loss value: $150.00.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Bldg A, 2504 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 8-19-04.

Harassment: A non-UT subject made three alarming and threatening telephone calls to UT faculty member's 6th floor office.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street

Occurred on 8-22-04 between 6:00 a.m. and 7:25 a.m.

Harassment: A non-UT subject, who is a former acquaintance of a UT student, has made several alarming, harassing and threatening telephone calls to the student's 9th floor dormitory room.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 8-21-04 between 6:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Burglary: A silver Toshiba laptop computer was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a dresser in an unsecured and "possibly open" 13th floor dormitory room. Loss value: $1,300.00.

Littlefield Dormitory, 201 West Dean Keeton

Occurred on 8-22-04 at 12:07 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (3 counts): Three UT students, all of whom were under the age of 21, were found attempting to gain unauthorized access to the south doors of the dormitory. All three subjects were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Occurred on 8-20-04 at 9:04 a.m.

Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject and an unidentified subject had been involved in a verbal altercation while standing on the south side of the building. The unidentified subject left the area prior to the arrival of a UT police officer. The non-UT subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for theft.

San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio

Occurred between 8-19-04 at 9:00 a.m. and 8-20-04 at 8:30 a.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker, a gold permanent marker and a silver permanent marker were used to write illegible words in several locations around the ground floor of the garage. Removal cost: $150.00.

Tower Manor, 1908 University

Occurred on 8-20-04 at 11:30 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the patio located on the east side of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Townes Hall, 727 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 8-22-04 at 4:20 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a 1st floor area that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 8-20-04 at 5:27 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a 3rd floor area reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

University Police Building, 2201 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 8-20-04 at 11:20 a.m.

Assist Outside Agency: A UT student was taken into custody for an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for assault with injury.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Occurred on 8-21-04 at 4:15 p.m.

Criminal Trespass (5 counts): Five non-UT subjects were found loitering inside the fenced-in covered Parking Lot located on the west side of the building. Each subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Whitis Avenue at 29th Street

Occurred on 8-21-04 at 1:47 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated / Evading / Public Intoxication (2 counts) / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT Police Officer attempted to stop a 1996 Ford Explorer for running a red light. The driver of the vehicle fled the area and crashed the vehicle into a fence surrounding a playground. The driver and two passengers of the vehicle were all UT students. One of the passengers was found to be under the age of 21. The two passengers were found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point they were a physical endangerment to themselves. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

100 East 21st Street

Occurred on 8-23-04 at 3:00 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence by a Minor: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for driving a 1966 Ford Mustang in excess of the posted speed limit. The subject was found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage, but not to the point he was driving while intoxicated.
