Occurred on 8-25-04 at 7:44 a.m.

Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was stopped for disregarding an official traffic control device by turning left at an intersection with a right turn only traffic sign while driving a white 1994 Plymouth Acclaim. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for assault - family violence.

Occurred on 8-26-04 at 1:37 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on a porch located on the west side of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Occurred on 8-26-04 at 3:47 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping behind a potted flowerbed located on the south side of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

North Office Building A, 101 East 27th Street

Occurred between 8-24-04 at 9:00 p.m. and 8-25-04 at 9:00 p.m.

Burglary of a Coin Operated Machine: The door to a coin-operated vending machine was forced open. An undetermined amount of money and product was stolen from the machine. Several empty product packages were found inside the machine. Repair cost: $50.00. Loss value: Unknown at this time.

1800 Red River

Occurred on 8-26-04 at 3:30 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT faculty member was found stumbling as he walked northbound on the sidewalk. The subject was unaware of his location and stated he had "lost his way." The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Russell A. Steindam Hall, #7 East Mall

Discovered on 8-25-04 at 3:35 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: White chalk was used to write a word on the north exterior wall. Removal cost: $40.00.

26th Street and San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 8-25-04 between 5:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Theft of Service: An unidentified subject placed unauthorized flyers into several newspapers that were housed inside a newspaper vending machine for The Daily Texan. The placement of inserts into the newspaper is a service that is provided for by the newspaper for a $70.00 fee.
