Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway
Occurred on 8-31-04 between 9:00 p.m. and 9:10 p.m.
Theft: A UT ID card, $15.00, and a dormitory key were stolen while they were left unsecured on the floor of a second floor weight room while the owner worked out inside the same room. Loss value: $20.00.
Littlefield Home, 302 West 24th Street
Occurred on 8-31-04 at 10:20 p.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject, who matched the description of an assault suspect from an assault case that had just been reported a block off of campus, was found on his knees, breathing heavily and sweating profusely. The subject admitted to assaulting the non-UT victim as the victim had "been selling false drugs" to people on the streets. The victim did not wish to file charges. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 E. 21st Street
Occurred between 8-30-04 at 4:00 p.m. and 8-31-04 at 7:30 a.m.
Theft: A red Murray Strong Haven bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to the bicycle rack located on the southeast side of the dormitory. Loss value: $100.00.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred on 8-31-04 between 2:50 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Theft: An unidentified subject used a 50 dollar bill to purchase a 3 dollar item at a 2nd floor restaurant. While the cashier made change, the subject asked how much change he would receive. The subject then gave the cashier an additional 3 dollars and asked for his 100 dollars in return. The cashier gave the subject five 20 dollar bills. The subject is described as a Hispanic male in his late 30's, 5'7" tall, 190 pounds, muscular build, short dark brown hair (graying), wearing a faded hunter green t-shirt, green shorts and white and black Nike tennis shoes.
