Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Discovered on 9-10-04 at 3:00 p.m.

Graffiti: Black spray paint was used to write letters on the east pillar of the marquee sign. Removal cost $100.00.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building A, 2504-A Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 9-12-04 at 8:26 a.m.

Places Weapons Prohibited / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found loitering around a fourth floor women's restroom. The subject gave officers consent to search his backpack. A throwing star described as a metal triangle with folding blades attached to each point of the triangle, folding into a circle when closed, was found in the subject's backpack. The subject was also in possession of several UT keys, to unknown UT locations. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 E. 21st

Occurred on 9-10-04 at 9:40 p.m.

Suspicious Activity: An unidentified male beat and kicked on a 2nd floor dorm room. The subject was reported yelling, "What?! What?!" while trying to gain entry. The subject was gone before police arrived.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st

Occurred between 8-12-04 at 11:00 p.m. to 9-11-04 at 9:40 p.m.

Harassing Communication: A UT student received several harassing phone calls demanding to speak to a subject the student does not know.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st

Occurred on 9-11-04 at 5:07 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject tried to enter the dorm and was stopped by officers nearby. The subject had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Reported on 9-12-04 at 11:45 p.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent pen was used to write several sayings on several men's restroom stalls located on the first floor of the building. Removal cost $50.00.

Parking Lot 51, 2600 University

Occurred on 9-10-04 at 5:15 p.m.

Prostitution: A UT student was approached, by an unidentified male, who asked to perform a sex act with her while his friends videotaped for $1000.00. The subject is described as a white male in his 20's, 5'11, 170 lbs., brown hair, driving a 2000 blue sedan four door.

Parking Lot 104, 1100 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 9-10-04 at 7:30 p.m.

Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was approaching students asking for money. The subject was found to have an outstanding warrant from an outside agency. In his possession, the subject had two cell phones, numerous empty wallets, and headphones. The subject also had a bank check card, a UT identification card, and Blockbuster card which did not belong to him. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Robert Lee Moore Hall, 2515 Speedway

Occurred on 9-8-04 between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Theft: A men's black leather tri-fold wallet containing one hundred and eighteen dollars, a health insurance card, credit-card and gym membership card was taken from the sixth floor. The wallet was later recovered on the seventh floor with only the money missing.

San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio

Reported on 9-10-04 at 7:57 p.m.

Suspicious Person: A subject was reported "washing his feet" on the south side exterior of level one. The subject had left the area prior to police arrival. The subject is described as a black male, bald and wearing shorts.

Simkins Hall Dormitory, 2501 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 9-12-04 at 3:20 a.m.

Arson: Three UT students were caught by UT staff who saw them setting fire to leaves and newspapers on the exterior of the dorm. When approached by the staff member the students started stomping out the fire. Two unidentified subjects fled the scene before the staff member could identify them.

Trinity Garage, 1815 Trinity Street

Occurred on 9-10-04 at 8:45 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT staff member was found disoriented and staggering toward the ticket office. The subject was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Trinity Garage, 1815 Trinity Street

Occurred between 9-10-04 at 11:00 p.m. and 9-11-04 at 7:39 a.m.

Suspicious activity: A UT staff member reported several stanchions, an office stamp and a figurine were scattered on the ground outside the office.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 9-10-04 at 7:23 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found asleep on a fourth floor couch with his shoes off. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Reported on 9-12-04 at 6:00 p.m.

Graffiti: Black, brown and white spray paint were used to draw in several places on the storage shed and recreational sports sign. Removal cost $85.00.

W.R. Woolrich Laboratories, 210 East 24th Street

Last reported on 9-12-04 at 3:50 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: The large piece of metal artwork normally located on the south side of the building was moved into the middle of 24th street obstructing traffic several times during the night.

100 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 9-10-04 from 8:10 a.m. - 8:20 a.m.

Improper Photography: A UT student on her way to class was followed, for several blocks, by an unidentified male subject. The subject ran up behind her touching her leg above her knee, but below the hemline of her skirt. Again the subject walked behind her walking with his hand down behind her leg at thigh level. The subject tried to strike up a conversation with the student on several occasions then followed her to class standing at the doorway until she entered the class and sat down. The subject is described as an Asian male, 5'9"-5'11", 160 lbs., dark short hair, medium build, prescription glasses and clean shaven.

200 East Jester Circle

Occurred on 9-10-04 at 10:45 a.m.

Solicitation: A non-UT subject was exchanging books for students and did not have a permit authorizing his company to be on UT property.

200 East 21st

Occurred on 9-11-04 at 3:25 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT student was found passed out sitting on a bench. The subject did not respond to verbal commands, did not know where he was or how he was going to get home. The subject was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

2300 Speedway

Occurred on 9-12-04 at 3:05 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for running a stop sign. The subject was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The subject stated he had only consumed two beers at a party because he was the designated driver. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subjects driver's license was confiscated and his truck towed. A front seat passenger of the vehicle, who was also non-UT and under the age of 21, was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.
