Burdine Hall, #1 West Mall

Occurred between 9-29-04 at 3:30 p.m. and 9-30-04 at 1:20 p.m.

Theft: A red 21" Schwinn mountain bicycle, except the front tire and lock, was stolen while it was secured with a U-lock to a bicycle rack on the west side of the building. Loss value: $25.00.

Geology Building, #10 West Mall

Reported on 10-1-04 at 4:26 a.m.

Graffiti: A gold pen was used to write on the paper towel dispenser in a second floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $25.00.

Parking Lot 14, 2300 Inner Campus

Reported on 9-30-04 at 9:42 a.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A UT staff member reported finding a suspect vehicle, which may have struck his vehicle while it was legally parked and unattended. The owner of the striking vehicle failed to comply with requirements on striking an unattended vehicle. Estimated damage: $800.00.

Parking Lot 80, 1900 Red River

Occurred on 9-30-04 between 6:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: A UT student reported her car had been keyed on the driver side door. A red sticky liquid had also been poured on the driver side front and back door. Repair cost: $100.00.

Townes Hall, 727 East Dean Keeton

Reported on 9-30-04 at 12:01 p.m.

Burglary: A silver colored Dell Latitude laptop computer was stolen while secured in a vault. Loss value: $1500.00.

300 East 23rd

Occurred on 10-1-04 at 12:00 a.m.

Failure to Identify: A UT student was pulled over after failing to stop at a stop sign. The subject stated she had lost her Texas driver's license. The subject gave the officer a driver's license issued from Mexico. Upon investigation it was found the driver's license had a fictitious date of birth.

300 East 23rd

Occurred between 9-29-04 at noon and 9-30-04 at 8:00 a.m.

Theft: A teal green and purple women's Roadmaster mountain bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a combination chain lock to a bicycle rack. Loss value: $25.00.

500 COLORADO

Occurred on 10-1-04 at 2:40 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped for traveling the wrong way on a one-way street, nearly colliding with a taxicab. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol to the point she was driving while intoxicated.

2200 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 10-1-04 at 1:42 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT student was observed stumbling and unsure of his balance while walking down the street. When asked the time, date and his location the subject kept replying "correct". The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.
