2310 Guadalupe

Occurred on 10-12-04 at 1:31 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found stumbling in the roadway and yelling at people. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. After being taken into custody, the police officer learned the subject had been arrested each of the previous two nights for public intoxication.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Occurred between 8-20-04 and 10-12-04 at 12:30 a.m.

Harassment: An unidentified subject has placed several unwanted and annoying telephone calls to a resident's 5th floor dormitory room.

Discovered on 10-12-04 at 2:15 a.m.

Graffiti: White paint was used to write a word on a bronze building name sign located on the west side of the building.

Living Learning Center, Building F, 2610 Whitis Avenue

Discovered on 10-11-04 at 3:00 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unidentified subject pulled a campus telephone from the wall near the main entrance to the building. Repair cost: $30.00.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Discovered on 10-12-04 at 12:15 a.m.

Graffiti: A red paint pen was used to write a word on a plexiglass window on the south side of the building. Removal cost: $40.00.

West Mall Office Building, #3 West Mall

Occurred on 10-11-04 at 8:00 p.m.

Attempted Theft / Terroristic Threat: A UT student found an unidentified male cutting the cable lock off the student's bicycle that had been secured to a bicycle rack located on the west side of the building. The subject told the student the bicycle belonged to him and he had lost his key. When the student advised the subject the bicycle was his, the subject threatened to cut the student and began to run southbound. The student chased the subject who continued to threaten to cut the pursuing student. The student stopped chasing the subject when the subject began reaching inside his backpack. The subject was described as a Hispanic male in his mid 30's, 5'8" tall, 200 pounds, black hair, goatee, wearing a red t-shirt, black backpack and dark pants.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 9 alarm calls, 3 unsecured door reports, 1 medical emergency, 2 welfare concern reports, 1 suspicious activity report, 1 lighting survey and 2 calls for key assists between 10-11-04 and 10-12-04.
