McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway

Occurred between 10-7-04 at 5:00 p.m. and 10-11-04 at 12 noon.

Theft: Two 8" X 10" wooden picture frames that housed photographs of Alaskan scenery were stolen from a 4th floor office. Loss value: $40.00.

Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletics Center, 2015 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between 10-8-04 at 6:00 a.m. and 10-8-04 at 7:45 a.m.

Theft: Cash was stolen from a wallet that was left in an unsecured locker located inside a secured 1st floor locker room while the owner participated in an athletic practice. During the investigation, several other students advised money had been stolen from their lockers within the same locker room over the course of the past two months. Total loss value: $409.00.

Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletics Center, 2015 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 10-11-04 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Theft: A 10-dollar bill was stolen when it was left on a desk in an unsecured 2nd floor office. Loss value: $10.00.

Parking Lot 103, 2100 Comal Street

Occurred on 10-11-04 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Theft: The rear Texas license plate was stolen from a burgundy 2003 Mitsubishi Spider 2-door while the vehicle was parked in the west side of the Parking Lot. Minor damage to the rear bumper was also discovered. Repair cost: $50.00. Loss value: $5.00.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Reported on 10-12-04 at 4:30 p.m.

Graffiti: Several different pens and markers have been used to write numerous words and drawings on several walls located inside a 5th floor men's restroom.

Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Occurred on 10-12-04 between 2:00 p.m. and 2:10 p.m.

Theft: A green and black REI backpack containing a calculus textbook, a Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus graphing calculator, and 3 UT football game tickets was stolen when it was left on a desk in an unsecured 3rd floor study room for 10 minutes. Loss value: $210.00.

2400 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 10-12-04 at 6:20 a.m.

Assist Outside Agency: A UT student was stopped for speeding (35 MPH in a 15 MPH zone) and disregarding a stop sign while driving a red 1997 Toyota Celica. The student was found to have two outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for traffic violations.

300 East 25th Street

Occurred on 10-12-04 at 10:55 a.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: The owner of a parked and unattended 2002 blue Buick Rendezvous witnessed a green Ford Mustang strike his vehicle while the driver of the Mustang was attempting to park. The driver of the Mustang parked and left the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost: $200.00.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 7 alarm calls, 10 unsecured door reports, 3 medical emergencies, 3 suspicious activity reports, 1 motor vehicle collision and 2 calls for key assists between 10-12-04 and 10-13-04.
