1100 Chicon

Occurred on 10-15-04 at 8:50 p.m.

Public Intoxication / Disorderly Conduct (Exposure) / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found leaning against a stop sign with his pants pulled down around his ankles — leaving himself exposed to the world. Once the subject had pulled his pants up, it was determined he had performed a bodily function in the rear of his pants. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for pedestrian in the roadway.

Colorado Street and 6th Street

Occurred on 10-16-04 at 2:20 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT guard officer reported a non-UT subject had attempted to strike another non-UT subject while both subjects passed each other in a crosswalk. Another subject needed to physically restrain the aggressive subject to prevent him from assaulting the non-aggressive subject. The responding police officer found the aggressive subject to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself and others.

Occurred on 10-16-04 at 4:50 p.m.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found at gate 27 while in possession of a flask containing an alcoholic beverage.

Occurred on 10-16-04 at 3:00 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT student was found unable to stand or walk unassisted. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point she was a physical endangerment to herself.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found at gate 12 while in possession of a plastic bottle containing an alcoholic beverage.

Occurred on 10-16-04 at 2:30 p.m.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found at gate 12 while in possession of a plastic flask containing an alcoholic beverage.

Occurred on 10-16-04 at 3:35 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found in a ground floor men's restroom while having an extreme, involuntary physical reaction to the over consumption of an alcoholic beverage. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Occurred on 10-16-04 at 3:40 p.m.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found attempting to enter the stadium with a plastic flask that contained an alcoholic beverage. The student was found to have already consumed some of the contents of the flask.

Occurred on 10-16-04 at 5:00 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found "passed out" while being treated by emergency medical services employees. The student had been demonstrating an extreme involuntary physical reaction to the over consumption of an alcoholic beverage.

Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, 405 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 10-16-04 between 12:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Theft: Three non-UT "day laborer" contract employees who had been hired to sell food items during the Texas vs. Missouri football game left the football stadium without turning the sales money into the company. Loss value: $525.00.

Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, 405 East 23rd Street

Occurred at various times.

Administrative Violations: In addition to the above listed criminal cases, police officers ejected 43 people who were over the age of 21 for possessing alcohol inside the stadium, 14 non-UT people for using UT student id cards to enter the stadium with a student ticket, one non-UT subject for displaying a knife while cutting open nut shells, 4 for throwing objects over the edge of the stadium wall, 2 people for seating altercations and three passed out subjects in the grand stands.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 10-16-04 between 12 noon and 6:00 p.m.

Theft: A gray K-2 bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a bicycle rack located on the west side of the building. Loss value: $125.00.

Guadalupe Street and 38th Street

Occurred on 10-17-04 at 3:15 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (2 counts): A UT police officer found a vehicle stopped in the roadway with no vehicle lights turned on. A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was operating the vehicle. Two other non-UT subjects, who were both under the age of 21, were passengers inside the vehicle. All three subjects were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building A, 2504 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 10-16-04 at 5:00 a.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 counts): Two non-UT subjects were found sleeping on benches located in the 1st floor lobby. One of the subjects had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning. Law enforcement action was taken against the subject who had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning. The other subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building A, 2504 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 10-17-04 at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Theft: A polished aluminum GT bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a bicycle rack located on the north side of the building. Loss value: $200.00.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred on 10-15-04 at 9:26 a.m.

Criminal Trespass / Evading: A non-UT male subject was reported as looking over a privacy wall in a 1st floor women's restroom. The subject fled from the responding officer and was pursued for some time. The subject dropped his cellular telephone during the foot pursuit. The officer lost sight of the subject but was later able to positively identify him as a known offender in similar cases. Arrest warrants will be pending for the subject, who is described as a black male, 40 years old, 5'7" tall, 185 pounds, black hair and brown eyes.

Parking Lot 118, 1800 Red River

Occurred on 10-16-04 between 12:40 a.m. and 12:50 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unidentified object was used to break the mirror out of the right side mirror housing to a blue 2003 Ford Ranger extended cab pick-up truck while it was parked at the entrance to the Parking Lot. Repair cost: $50.00.

J. T. Patterson Laboratories Building, 2415 Speedway

Occurred between 10-14-04 at 11:00 a.m. and 10-15-04 at 3:00 p.m.

Theft: A pink and black Magna bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a bicycle rack located on the west side of the building. Loss value: $100.00.

Penick-Allison Tennis Center, 1701 Trinity

Occurred on 10-17-04 at 9:00 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found "looking around" the tennis center when it was closed to the public. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Speedway Garage, 105 East 25th Street

Occurred on 10-15-04 at 12:34 p.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 counts): Two non-UT subjects were found placing pamphlets on parked vehicles, which is a violation of UT Regents' Rules and Regulations regarding solicitation on campus. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 10-17-04 at 4:10 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on a couch in a 3rd floor lobby that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Occurred on 10-15-04 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left window was broken out of a tan Ford F-150 pick-up truck while it was parked on the north side of the tennis courts. A Sony AM/FM/CD stereo was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $225.00.

Occurred at various times.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 27 alarm calls, 14 unsecured door reports, 9 suspicious activity reports, 2 accidental damage reports, 5 medical emergency calls, 4 collision reports, 2 minor disturbance calls, 2 welfare concern calls, 1 found property report and 8 calls for key assists between 10-15-04 and 10-18-04.
