Art Building and Museum, 2301 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 10-21-04 between 1:00 p.m. and 1:10 p.m.

Theft: An Apple G4 laptop computer was stolen from an unsecured 3rd floor office. Loss value: $1,400.00.

McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway

Occurred on 10-24-04 at 12:30 a.m.

Criminal Trespass / Failure to Identify: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on a couch located in a 4th floor hallway. The subject initially gave a fictitious name and date of birth while claiming to be a UT student. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Occurred on 10-22-04 at 10:45 p.m.

Public Intoxication / Criminal Trespass / Disorderly Conduct / Resisting Arrest: A non-UT subject was ejected from the 1st floor of the building during a concert after acting aggressively and using profanity towards usher staff. After the subject was warned against re-entering the building, another police officer observed the subject on the 2nd floor. Three responding police officers escorted the subject from the building for the second time. The subject spat at one officer before taking a defensive stance towards the three officers. The subject called the officers several "profanity laced names" and lunged at the officers. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Occurred on 10-24-04 at 3:30 p.m.

Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency / Evading: A non-UT subject was reported loitering on the 3rd floor and soliciting swim center patrons for money, which is a violation of UT Regents' Rules and Regulations concerning solicitation. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for a parole violation. The subject fled westbound when he learned of the arrest warrant. The subject continued to run westbound and jumped off a 20' cliff along the east side of Waller Creek. The subject sustained injuries to his feet and back when he landed. Several units from the Austin Fire Department and EMS responded to remove the subject from the creek. Austin EMS transported the subject to a local emergency room for treatment of his injuries. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Occurred between 10-14-04 and 10-15-04.

Theft: $945.45 cash was stolen from a desk located in an unsecured 2nd floor office.

San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio

Occurred on 10-22-04 at 12:05 p.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 counts): Two non-UT subjects were found loitering in an alley on the south side of the garage after having been involved in an argument with a 3rd subject who was not located. Both subjects exhibited physical indications of previous drug use. Both subjects were issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Occurred on 10-24-04 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Theft: A grey, hard plastic, spare tire cover was stolen from the tailgate of a black 1997 Toyota RAV 4 while it was parked on the east side of the street. Loss value: $200.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 10-23-04 at 3:50 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a 3rd floor room that is reserved for UT faculty, staff and student members. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 10-24-04 at 7:40 a.m.

Public Intoxication / Evading / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: Four non-UT subjects were observed sitting at a patio table located on the east side of the building while in possession of a large glass bottle containing an alcoholic beverage. The four subjects fled as a police officer approached them and ordered them to stop. Once the four subjects were stopped, it was determined that one of the subjects was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. A second subject, who was under the age of 21, was found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Discovered on 10-22-04 at 4:45 p.m.

Graffiti: Red paint was used to write a word and draw a symbol on the west exterior wall of the building. Removal cost: $75.00.

200 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-24-04 at 2:40 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for disregarding a stop sign while driving a red 1999 Jeep 4-door. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated. A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was a front seat passenger of the vehicle. The student was found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage.

400 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 10-24-04 at 2:45 p.m.

Assist Outside Agency: A UT student was stopped after being involved in an argument with a Capital Metro bus driver concerning the bus route and the student's refusal to show his student identification card. The student was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for a traffic violation.
