Brackenridge Hall Dormitory, 207 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 4:00 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (2 counts): A UT student, who was under the age of 21, and her 16 year old brother were found engaged in an argument while standing on the north side of the dormitory. Both subjects were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

Brackenridge Hall Dormitory, 207 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 3:20 a.m.

Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (2 counts) / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts): Two UT students, who were under the age of 21, and one non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, were found in the exterior breezeway of the building. One of the two students was "passed out." That student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. The other student and the non-UT subject were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages. Both of the UT students were in possession of glass pipes containing burned marijuana residue.

500 Colorado Street

Occurred on 10-30-04 at 3:10 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way roadway while driving a brown 2005 Toyota Camry 4-door. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

J.J. Pickle Research Campus, 10100 Burnet Road

Occurred on 10-31-04 between 11:15 a.m. and 3:12 a.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: An unidentified subject, driving a red vehicle, struck a 12' section of security fencing. The subject drove away from the scene without leaving notice. Repair cost: $4,000.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street

Occurred between 10-21-04 at 12 noon and 10-30-04 at 2:00 p.m.

Theft: A bright blue Magna Bicycle with a missing seat was stolen while it was secured with a u-lock to a bicycle rack located on the south side of the building. The owner had a secondary cable lock that was strung throughout the bicycle and secured to the u-lock. Loss value: $100.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-30-04 at 3:00 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found lying on the south side of the building. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-22-04 at 3:30 p.m.

Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A UT student and a non-UT subject were found in a 6th floor room. The student was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing marijuana and two small glass pipes containing burned marijuana residue.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-30-04 at 2:10 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found being assisted into the lobby of the dormitory by two other subjects. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

2000 Jester Circle

Occurred on 10-30-04 at 4:45 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated / Possession of Marijuana: A non-UT subject was found "unconscious" in the driver's seat of a running Honda 2-door. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated. The subject was found to be in possession of 0.09 ounces of marijuana. The subject stated he was at Jester to pick his friend up.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 10-30-04 at 2:45 p.m.

Places Weapons Prohibited: A parent of a UT student reported an illegal, 12" double edged knife inside of her daughter's 2nd floor dormitory room. The knife belonged to the daughter's roommate.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 12:36 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found "bathing and brushing his teeth inside a 1st floor lobby men's restroom. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Littlefield Dormitory, 201 West Dean Keeton

Occurred on 10-31-04 between 1:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Theft: A red and silver Next bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a bicycle rack located on the south side of the building. Loss value: $100.00.

Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 1:00 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor / Possession of Marijuana: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was found smoking a hand rolled cigarette containing marijuana while in a courtyard located on the northeast side of the building. The subject was found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage. The subject stated he was living in a Moore Hall Dormitory Room while the resident was out of town. The subject was in possession of the resident's UT ID card and dormitory key.

Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 21st Street

Occurred between 10-29-04 at 3:00 p.m. and 10-31-04 at 4:00 p.m.

Theft: A blue Apple iPod and a pair of Sony headphones were stolen from a 2nd floor dormitory room. Loss value: $260.00.

O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado

Occurred on 10-30-04 at 3:10 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the south porch of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Discovered on 10-29-04 at 1:25 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown object was used to break the right rear opera window out of a black Honda 2-door while it was parked in the east portion of the Parking Lot. At this time, it is unknown if anything was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $150.00.

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 2:20 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for driving a silver VW 4-door the wrong way on a one-way roadway. The subject was found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage.

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 1:20 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: While assisting with traffic control at the scene of collision in which a vehicle drove off of the Waller Creek Bridge, a UT police officer stopped a UT student for driving "erratically." The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 1:15 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: While assisting with traffic control at the scene of a collision in which a vehicle drove off of the Waller Creek Bridge, a UT police officer stopped a non-UT subject driving a 1998 Chevrolet who was attempting to force another vehicle off of the road. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

Occurred on 11-01-04 at 1:15 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped after driving a 1994 Toyota 4-door the wrong way on a one-way roadway. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 4:05 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped while preparing himself to perform a bodily function in a planter box. The student was found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage.

San Jacinto Street and 21st Street

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 2:35 a.m.

Public Intoxication / Possession of a Fictitious Driver's License: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found leaning against the retention wall on the 21st Street Bridge over Waller Creek. The student stated he was "very drunk" and that he should not be drunk because he was "too young to drink." The student was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. The student was found to be in possession of a fictitious driver's license which purported him to be over the age of 21.

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 3:15 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for disregarding a stop sign while driving a red 2003 Pontiac. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

2300 Speedway

Occurred on 10-29-04 at 5:45 p.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 counts) / Driving While License Suspended: Two non-UT subjects were stopped for distributing information brochures for a new motor vehicle company. One of the subjects attempted to drive away from the stopping officer. The driver was found to have been operating a motor vehicle while having a suspended driver's license. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

University of Texas Elementary School, 2200 East 6th Street

Occurred on 10-31-04 at 4:10 p.m.

Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages Near Schools: A non-UT subject was found within 1,000 feet of the elementary school while consuming an alcoholic beverage.

Occurred at various times.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 26 alarm calls, 4 medical emergency calls, 7 public assist calls, 10 suspicious activity calls, 1 found property call and 7 unsecured door reports between 10-29-04 and 11-01-04.
