Ashbell Smith Hall, 201 West 7th Street

Occurred on 11-12-04 at 3:15 a.m.

Public Intoxication / Possession of Marijuana / In Possession of More than One Valid Driver's License: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was reported as sleeping on a bench located on an exterior plaza. The subject was awake when a police officer arrived and was exhibiting an extreme involuntary physical reaction to the over-consumption of an alcoholic beverage. The subject was found to under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. The subject was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing 1 ounce of marijuana and a Texas driver's license issued to another person who was over the age of 21.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 11-11-04 between 5:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Theft: A black backpack containing a blue Sanyo 8500 cellular telephone, a grey sweatshirt, and a white UT baseball cap was stolen when it was left in an unsecured locker in a 2nd floor weight room. Loss value: $150.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 210 East 21st Street

Occurred on 11-11-04 between 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

Theft: $50.00 cash was stolen from a wallet that was left in an unsecured 2nd floor men's restroom. Loss value: $50.00.

Living Learning Center, 2610 Whitis Avenue

Occurred between 11-10-04 at 3:30 p.m. and 11-11-04 at 6:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown subject(s) partially pulled an interior wooden kitchen door from the door frame causing the door to crack at the upper hinge. Repair cost: $200.00.

2200 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 11-12-04 at 2:30 p.m.

Driving While Intoxicated / Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle (3 counts): A non-UT subject was stopped for disregarding a stop sign and speeding while driving a blue 2005 Ford Escape. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated. Three passengers in the vehicle, all of whom were non-UT subjects, were found to be in possession of open containers of alcoholic beverages.

Townes Hall, 727 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 11-12-04 at 1:15 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in a sleeping bag in a 2nd floor lounge while the building was closed to the public. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 9 alarm calls, 4 suspicious activity calls, 1 medical emergency call, 1 found property and 1 collision report between 11-11-04 and 11-12-04.
