Discovered on 11-17-04 at 6:00 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: An unknown tool was used to cut a small 4" by 7" hole in a chain link fence located on the south side of the campus. Repair cost: $20.00.
Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center, 1900 Red River
Occurred on 11-17-04 at 3:17 p.m.
Criminal Trespass / Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found lying facedown near a large puddle of water in a 1st floor men's restroom. The subject was found to be under the influence of a substance to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street
Discovered on 11-18-04 at 3:30 p.m.
Theft: Two brown plastic non-skid step covers were stolen from the south tower stairwell between levels 2 and 3. One of the step covers was later found in another part of the dormitory. Loss value: $40.00.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred on 11-17-04 at 8:10 p.m.
Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found stumbling down a 2nd floor stairwell, nearly falling down the flight of stairs. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.
Occurred at various times.
Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 11 alarm calls, 4 suspicious activity calls, 2 public assist reports, 3 unsecured door reports and 1 found property call between 11-17-04 and 11-18-04.
