Brackenridge Apartments, 3400 Lake Austin Blvd.

Occurred on 12-2-04 at 5:45 a.m.

Child Endangerment: A non-UT subject, who is the mother of a 3 year-old and a two year-old left her sleeping children unattended in her apartment while she attended a church service. Before the mother returned, the children woke up and wandered outside wearing only their sleep attire.

Brazos Garage, 210 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 12-2-04 at 8:10 p.m.

Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts): Three UT students were found sitting at the southeast corner of the parking garage. One of the students was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing a small amount of marijuana and two small ceramic pipes that contained burned marijuana residue. Another student was found to be in possession of a third ceramic pipe that contained burned marijuana residue.

Parking Lot 117, 1900 Comal Street

Occurred between 11-28-04 at 5:00 p.m. and 12-2-04 at 11:30 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right rear window was broken out of a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo while it was parked in the Parking Lot. A black and silver Sony AM/FM/CD stereo system, a black rubber flashlight, a silver 5" knife and a roadside assistance kit were stolen from the vehicle. Loss value: $210.00. Repair cost: $175.00.

Pharmacy Building, 2409 University

Occurred between 12-1-04 at 4:00 p.m. and 12-2-04 at 11:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief / Graffiti: An unknown device was used to scratch letters into several walls located inside a 2nd floor men's restroom while black spray paint was used to write letters on a wall inside the same restroom. One of the doors to a restroom stall was also damaged in a manner as if someone had kicked the door in. Repair cost: $150.00.

University of Texas Elementary School, 2200 East 6th Street

Discovered on 12-2-04 at 8:15 a.m.

Criminal Mischief / Attempted Theft: A hole was cut in a chain link fence which surrounds the property. A damaged floor polisher which had been stored near the fence was found lying outside of the fence near the hole. Repair cost: $150.00.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 12 alarm calls, 3 unsecured door reports, 6 public assist calls, 1 accidental damage report, 1 welfare concern report, 2 collision reports, 1 safety hazard (trashcan fire) and 2 suspicious activity reports between 12-02-04 and 12-03-04.
