Art Building and Museum, 2301 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 12-8-04 at an unknown time.

Criminal Mischief (2 counts)/ Grafitti: A UT-staff member reported finding sexual and obscene images, along with phrases on various art projects inside a 4th floor room. The images and phrases were written in brown paint which was still wet upon discovery. Loss and repair value: $1,700.00.

Art Building and Museum, 2301 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between 12-8-04 at 9:00 a.m. and 12-9-04 at midnight.

Theft: A UT student reported that a 4' X 3' painting of a nude pin-up model wearing red lip stick and high heels painted on a wooden canvas was stolen from a 4th floor art studio. Loss value: $100.00.

Graduate School of Business, 100 West 21st Street

Reported on 12-8-04 9:00 p.m.

Burglary of Coin-Operated Machine: The door to the coin-operated machine located inside a 3rd floor women's restroom was discovered pried open by a UT staff member. Eleven dollars in product and money was reported missing. Loss value: $11.00.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 12-8-04 at 1:55 p.m.

Theft: A UT student reported observing someone remove the seat from a secured bicycle located on the south side of the building. The subject — described as a black male, 20 years of age, 5'7", 140 lbs, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and carrying a white colored backpack — left the area prior to the arrival of the police.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building B, 2504-B Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 12-8-04 at 4:30 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A UT staff member reported a known offender, who had been removed from the building on two prior occasions, was again seen in the 6th floor area. The subject left the area prior to the arrival of the police. An arrest warrant is being issued for the subject.

Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Occurred on 12-8-04 between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Theft: A UT student reported the theft of her purple-colored, cloth tote bag, which had been left unattended for 30 minutes inside the 2nd floor student study area. Loss value: $2.00.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 10 alarm calls, 2 unsecured door reports, 2 public assist calls, 1 found property report, and 3 suspicious activity reports between 12-8-04 and 12-9-04.
